As Brand Manager you hold primary accountability for achieving brand sales, marketing and P&L targets for Clinique in the Benelux. You will work closely with the affiliate General Manager and Regional Brand VP to define strategy, set goals, drive the business, execute and implement plans.

  • Ensure and develop that the brands image and position are properly maintained in accordance with corporate standards.

  • Ensure consistent interpretation of brand global objectives and strategies.

  • Represent brand in a professional and positive manner when interacting with staff, customers, business partners, and representatives of advertising agencies, the press, and government.

  • Monitor for appropriate implementation of brand identity tools

  • Develop appropriate implementation of brand identity tools such as merchandising guidelines, media positioning, advertising, product assortment, sales staffing, and store/ site selection.

  • Creates and maintains a network of cooperative relationships with business partners and key customers and fashion community, including artists’ relations.

  • Develop existing stores and open new stores

  • Collaborate with the GM and Regional Brand VP to identify opportunities for streamlining operations, reducing costs, and implementing financial and management technologies to enhance efficiency of brand operations.

  • Evaluate competitive challenges for brand and identifies opportunities for growth and profit enhancement.

  • Analyse competitive activity and trends in markets, customers, products, prices, and channels.

  • Conduct P&L analysis.

  • Identify opportunities and risks, provide feedback to GM and Regional Brand VP, and develops recommendations and initiatives.

  • Manage and improve KPI on Distribution channel.

  • Consider global brand guidelines and offerings to develop marketing and sales strategies to maximize sell-through.

  • Collaborates with consumer insights manager

  • Defines product selection strategy, assortment, and pricing

  • Develop and implement plans for Marketing (incl. Merchandising) and Sales (in close collaboration with Commercial Director)

  • Collaborate with Finance Manager, General Manager, and Regional Brand VP to set fiscal plans and monitor budgets.

  • Propose media, partnerships choices and collaborates and negotiates with business partners.

  • Lead activities associated with new stores and market launches.

  • Responsible for forecasting new products and promotional materials

  • Oversee forecasts to ensure planning accuracy and appropriate inventory levels.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and management to brands staff

  • Establishes high workplace operating standards and values.

  • Ensures PDP goals are set for the brand. Provide coaching, constructive feedback, development opportunities, and recognition to direct reports and key distributor personnel as appropriate.

  • Works with General Manager, Human Resource Manager and Managers to ensure appropriate staffing and establish performance management and development initiatives.

  • Ensure brand training of all point-of-sale, area management, and office personnel.

  • Collaborate with Education Manager to ensure that strengths and skills of personnel are developed monitors training with further coaching and counselling as needed

  • Maintain appropriate communication within and between the different functional areas of the brand, within the region, and with headquarters.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of marketing and sales experience, preferably in the luxury/cosmetics-goods industry

  • Experience in P&L management

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Strategic mind plus strong hands-on operational temperament (field oriented)

  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to work on multiple projects
