Cash Collection Associate

Description

Collects cash for high profile and complex accounts ensuring that payments are made to terms to allow for continuous order flow. Complex deduction management for largest retailer, ensuring all deductions are investigated and credited or repaid.

Month end activities including compiling back up for recharges to retailers.

  • Contacting debtors to seek payment using a combination of methods including telephone calls and emails to ensure payment terms are adhered to.

  • When debts become overdue, proactively and persistently pursue debt to ensure rapid payment or resolution of queries.

  • Build relationships with customers to understand their preferred way of working and then ensure this is applied to the management of the account.

  • Ensure all expense invoices, together with relevant back up are sent to the customers on a timely basis.

  • Ensure that monthly statements are produced and sent to the customer maximising the opportunity to clarify what needs paying and by when.

  • Management of credit held for customers under responsibility ensuring orders are released in a timely manner as appropriate.

  • Management of deductions for a large key retailer ensuring investigation and resolution are carried out effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Computer literate, good working knowledge of office and associated software e.g. Outlook, Excel.

  • Excellent communication (Written and Verbal).

  • Conscientious team player

  • Accurate, with an eye for detail

  • Able to work to deadlines where required

  • Flexible and pro-active approach to work

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of SAP (Desirable).

  • Experience of working for a large company (Desirable)

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, efficient AR team (Desirable).
