The QA Tester will work with Engineers locally and globally will contribute to the development of a growing portfolio of ecommerce sites. This person is responsible for the End to End QA of site redesigns, as well functional QA on new features and enhancements to existing web sites and new business launches.
When testing a new piece of software, it'll be up to you to try as best you can to ‘break’ it. You will work alongside highly experienced and talented Engineers, Designers and Project Managers. The role will involve testing our E-commerce Sites and back-end systems to ensure they are working in accordance to specifications. You will support the QA cycle and raise any issues and re-test issues as advised by the Project Management and Engineering team.
Must have the ability to prioritise their time effectively, to deliver projects on time and to specification. You will have good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and a sharp attention to detail.
They will also be expected to form strong relationships with peers in our Local & Global team, and be comfortable working in a collaborative fashion to achieve common goals.
Candidates must be willing to occasionally work extended hours when required, and be available to support deployments outside of business hours when needed.
BSc in computer science, experience in a similar role.
Design, execute and maintain comprehensive test cases to cover a wide range of applications and ensure each is of the highest possible standard.
Plan, develop, and execute system and regression level testing scenarios and also measure system performance on multi-user platforms through manual test scenarios and provide improvement recommendations.
Knowledge in Middleware, Integration, SAP ERP and Web based applications would be advantageous.
Should have an understanding of automation tools and frameworks (Using Selenium is preferred)
Experience in Quality Management Software and Processes. (Jira, Test Rail, Quality Centre etc.)
Monitor product quality and reject non-compliant software and test user experience side of web sites developed.
Understanding of SQL and database management systems is advantageous.
Comfortable in both Waterfall & Agile methodologies.
‘Can do’ positive attitude to any situation, with the ability to problem solve under pressure.
Creative solving of technical problems – to ensure the ability translate technical requirements test cases.
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
Clear communicator (written and verbal). To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders.
Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly.
