Consumer Engagement Manager, Clinique, Asia Pacific

Position Summary:

Consumer Engagement Manager for APAC region. Key responsibilities include retail marketing and retail go to market planning for the region.

This position will collaborate with Global & Regional Retail team to manage regionally-led retail and consumer marketing, to lead, structure and develop the retail go-to-market strategies and execution across APAC. Ensure a cohesive approach in all retail go to market strategies in the region, also to ensure markets have a retail marketing calendar that drives traffic, creates recruitment opportunities, and rewards consumer loyalty at stores.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support regional and affiliate-level retail calendars and go to market strategies that leverage every touch point to drive business, traffic and create recruitment opportunities

  • Support affiliates in their consumer and retail marketing plan and executions

  • Support affiliates to plan and operationalize customized retail marketing calendars by channel (Top doors/ channel/ retailer and SMC / FSS)

  • Partner with SMC lead to guide retail marketing, assortment, and all animation support

  • Ensure Retail Marketing plans are differentiated according to strategic objectives by channel/retailer, and will enable markets to improve productivity, performance and profitability by door

  • Define and agree with each market the KPI’s to measure the success and return on investment of the marketing plans

  • Partner with Retail Operations and Store Design / Visual Merchandising to create seasonal retail guidelines including a tiered eventing and activity toolkit. Partner with markets on the implementation of all retail guidelines and review, asses and measure the impact

  • Work closely with VM team to elevate instore experience and story telling to drive consumer engagement, manage in-store assets and content

  • Manage campaign assets and able to identify gaps based on marketing objectives and strategies of the campaign, be able to make recommendation to the team for asset creation opportunity

  • Manage agency relationship in regional campaign (assets creation)

  • Oversee the execution of You Time Services across the region. Works with VM, Marketing and Education to ensure a successful program roll out in store, measuring success through KPI’s


Skills & Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree with at least 8 years relevant industry experience (retail marketing, brand marketing and management, digital marketing)

  • Retail marketing and eventing experience, familiar with retail environment, in store VM, consumer instore experience, consumer engagement and visual execution

  • Digital marketing or brand management with 360 planning experience would be a plus

  • Strong business acumen on retail business, experience in cosmetics would be a plus

  • Creative mindse

  • Experience as in in-house operation

  • Ability to translate strategy and brand vision into execution

  • Attention to detail and act as brand guardian

  • Excellent organizational and communications skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Ability to lead teams or others through a project from inception to completion

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Management experience and leadership are essential

  • Basic skills in MS Office, a plus for Acrobat, Photoshop and InDesign

  • Mandarin speaker/reader is preferred
