Position Summary

This job will need to -

  • Drive the progress of strategic initiatives in the Region –be accountable for defining the workstreams, aligning the stakeholders,prioritizing resources, tracking progress and resolving barriers/ issues

  • Drive the development of strategic initiatives and deploymentof these initiatives

  • Thesplit of the work will vary from time to time depending the exact assignmentscoming to the team at a specific time.

Role & Responsibilities

Leads and own project management

for APAC initiatives

  • Lead and manage projects for key corporate priorities for theRegion and within the corporate strategy framework. Work withsponsors to ensure strategy development, operationalization, tracking andgovernance. The projects are mostly cross-functional and/orcross-brand projects

  • Function as a program manager/ senior project manager for keystrategic initiatives – clearly defines actions and workstreams, identifyinter-dependencies, setting of scoping and milestones, business casedevelopment, tracking progress and return

  • Align and mobilize the key working team/ stakeholders thathelp drive the development and progress of corporate strategic initiatives

  • Leverage steering committee and leadership meetings to seekendorsement of directions and resource allocation issue

Own and leverage KPI dashboard,

and tracking, to surface issues for progress making

  • Support,facilitate regional governance bodies within the Region which includestracking of action items, planning of agenda, and working withstakeholders for inputs.

Own and manage regional best practice for specific initiatives

  • Create processand content for capturing best practices

  • Create sharepointand process to share with affiliates/ brands for best practice learning


Skills & Requirements

  • At least 8 years of project management with additional business management experience, with at least 2 years of management in a PMO capacity for a corporate portfolio. Or consultant level at top-tier consulting firm with regional implementation projects. The experience should show demonstrated ability of leading cross-functional or cross-brands projects in solution development and implementation/ execution alignment

  • Need to be able to identify inter-dependencies and issues

  • Need to be able to drive progress of developing solutions and deployment

  • Need to be able to resolve barriers and issues through leadership/stakeholder alignment

  • Able to devise and leverage project management best practices, tools, methods and procedures

  • Able to think strategically and drive strategic initiatives for APAC

  • Strong understanding of prestige beauty industry and business preferred

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of management within Global, Region and Affiliate, Brands and Corporate Functions

  • Experience in a global infrastructure and in coordinating resources and processes across a matrix structure preferred

  • Experienced using Power Point, Excel, and Project

  • Experience of strategy development within a consulting capacity ideal preferred
