Product Performance Analyst

Reports to:Global Brand President

Position Summary

The Product Performance Analyst will be responsible for providing product performance data in a digestible, clear, and informative manner. This positionrequires ahighly collaborative analyst with a strong attention to detail and the flexibility to move seamlessly between evolving priorities. This role will partner closely with multiple departments including Product Development, Marketing, Planning, Education, Finance, and Sales.

Responsibilities

Company-Wide Reporting

  • Dashboard Reporting

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Various Product Performance Reports

  • Presentation Preparation

  • Ad Hoc Reports

  • Share product performance results in analytical presentations for all levels of management in various formats including PowerPoint, Excel, Graphs, Charts, and tables (weekly, monthly and quarterly)

  • Provide new product launch results including learnings, trends, qualitative actions plans & solutions

  • Create and analyze actual sales, margin and profit reports and compare them against the budget to assist in identifying key areas and categories that need revitalization and immediate Marketing action.

  • Monitor and analyze competitors, keeping aware of their initiatives and how they impact their own sales and profit targets, and report their findings to senior management.

  • Analyze sku, capsule and category performance to Product Development with quantifiable learnings that guide forward looking development

  • Review monthly sales and category results and make relevant analytical call-outs on all metrics

  • Support Product Development, Marketing, and other organizations with various product analytics as the Global Brand President designates

THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE MADE OF:

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in retail, cosmetics preferred analysis, merchandise planning or merchandising analysis

  • Strategic Ability - Sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; has broad knowledge and perspective; is future oriented; can articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods

  • High level of critical and analytical thinking, as well as effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to react immediately to the changing forces in the marketplace, being able to accurately analyze historical data and forecast emerging trends.

  • Significant computer proficiency with programs like MS Excel and/or Access are essential.

  • Self-motivated, works well independently and has excellent problem-solving skills, and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Action oriented and demonstrates a sense of urgency

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills building effective relationships within the organization
