SOCIAL MEDIA CO-ORDINATOR
This role sits within the Marketing team and coordinates with the Product Marketing, Comms and online teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a strong community around the brand. Reports into the Consumer Engagement Executive.
Their main responsibility is the day to day running of Aveda’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Weibo), ensuring we are telling social stories consistently across our channels and supporting the team on local content productions.
Responsibilities include copywriting, scheduling and publishing of Aveda social content as well as monitoring online conversations, and participating in those conversations to build product visibility as well as support brand awareness and engagement.
Set and deliver on tangible Social Media KPI’s (i.e. fan growth, engagement, lead generation).
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execution of social media strategy
Own and develop Aveda’s social content calendar. Copywriting, proofing, scheduling and publishing of content across all social media platforms. Work with Comms team to repost Influencer content. 27/7 Community management approach.
Lead and manage conversations within social platforms using the brand’s tone of voice with the ability to help create content & creative copy both as part of a campaign, and in real time.
Support the Consumer Engagement Executive in working with the media agency on the execution of paid media planning and strategy for both brand and salon led activity (e.g. building out campaigns in Facebook Creative manager for all paid social ads).
Leverage all brand event opportunities to share activity i.e. press events, in-store events, Master Jam etc.
Support the Comms team to coordinate coverage from on counter and outreach events to be shared across all social channels.
Work with Comms Team to on bespoke content ideas for retailers & e-retailers
Oversee social customer care coverage, response, and crisis management on social; working closely with Global, Comms and Customer Services.
Review global content & make recommendations for local content production as part of our evergreen focus on hero franchises, multi-cultural guests & brand storytelling mix.
Manage any social/ digital trade media activity (e.g. #avedaartists)
Creates relevant and UK localised imagery (flat lays & GIFS) to support calendar and work with internal design teams and global marketing.
Ensure all KPIs and met and delivered through clear Reporting
Analyse and report (weekly/monthly/ad hoc) on the performance of social marketing programs, reviewing results by tactic to proactively recognise and optimise interactions with audience.
Deliver competitor reports on a weekly basis.
Deliver social listening reports on a monthly basis. Identify issues, patterns & trends in consumer comments & share information with the relevant departments. To include, but not limited to the following:
o Product & distribution enquiries
o New ideas for product development
o Non UK queries to appropriate market
o Frequently asked questions
o Trending topics/concerns/sensitivities
o User generated content to marketing/creative
Work with the Online team to integrate social attributes on the Aveda.co.uk site (sharing reviews and recommendations) to enhance the overall customer experience and conversion rates.
Manage documents and perform system administration such as permissions, content publishing, account management, analysis and other back-end tools. Oversee running & updating of Salon & Retail Advisor closed Facebook pages.
Optimise tags and feed titles on sharing sites like YouTube, communities, and search engines through copywriting, creative, anchor text, and keyword optimisation.
Lead the UK social media bi-monthly status call with global, and sharing thorough updates & insight on all activity
Support the network in raising standards
Engage and train the Aveda Artist network to become brand advocates as content creators and elevate the brand’s social voice
Upskill salons on using social media to recruit new guests; supporting social media breakout sessions at Salon Digital Training Days
Create monthly social media toolkits for salons and be the designated point of contact for all salon social enquiries
Support Lifestyle salons in the development of their bespoke social media strategy
Social Media Experience
Ideally has experience with social listening tools
Interested in content creation.
Exceptional copywriting skills (written English)
General Management Skills

Good communication and presentation skills.
Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, a multi-tasker
Good commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically and plan ahead

Experience with video editing and motion-graphics software
Knowledge of creative tools such as Photoshop/InDesign/Final Cut Pro
Photography skills using a digital and SLR camera preferred
