Job Title: Retail & Education Sales Manager, London

Directly Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager

Responsible for: Business Managers

Primary Objectives:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment adapting and responding to the ever changing needs of the business as well as be able to work on own initiative.

  • Achievement of all retail targets. Identify and execute retail driving initiatives and develop total Area business to maximise potential. Recruit, lead and develop team of Store Managers, Business Managers and Retail Artist Managers.

  • Identify and recruit talent to ensure relevant capabilities, structure and succession planning is in place for each door.

  • Identify and develop key talent and lead and develop Retail Artist teams setting clear objectives and reviewing regularly to ensure the achievement of all Brand key performance indicators and targets, driving retail goals and achieving productivity KPIs line with brand expectation.

  • Monitor effectiveness of all events and A£S / AUS on an ongoing basis sharing results with RSM and senior management.

  • FSS – To ensure operational process is followed and audit compliant. Ensure SM and the team receive required training with regards to Health and Safety, Cash Handling, Audit, etc.

  • Build strong relationships with retail ops and Education teams.

  • Stock management - To work closely with stock team in Kites to ensure they have accurate stock file and relevant minimum and maximum levels all times of the year.

  • Consistent Focus on Conversion – Ensure conversion is in line with brand target by reviewing conversion report weekly and ensuring relevant rota is implemented accordingly.

  • Events calendar – Ensure there is a robust calendar in place for each store in addition to the national calendar which should be updated monthly.

  • Ensure adequate staff coverage on counter/in store at all times, within FTE and productivity budgets.

  • Manage any performance issues in liaison with Retail HR Partners (as appropriate) on a timely basis and ensure the ELC Performance Development Process is followed accordingly as well as individual business reports for artists.

  • Retail targets to be consistently updated and aligned with RSM, Omni

Channel Sales Director and communicated to Store Managers and Retail Artist Managers each month ensuring a clear plan for retail achievement.

  • Communicate efficiently with all internal departments and build collaborative working relationships with in store retailer partners with an enhanced focus on Selfridges, John Lewis and Harrods, through regular meetings and communication.

  • Ensure all VM, counter hygiene and brand guidelines are communicated and adhered to. Ensure that teams are reading communication and cascading information from Workplace.

  • Educate and coach teams on product knowledge, selling skills and artistry techniques to ensure high levels of capability and consumer experience.

  • In conjunction with the RSM for the Region, ensure certification goals and plans are in place to achieve store specific and regional objectives, utilising regional resources such as Featured Artists, RE’s, SRE’s and Pro team.

  • Ability to conduct certifications as required.

  • Present quarterly sales and training meetings as directed in order to align the team in the strategic direction and objectives of the Region.

  • As a Bobbi Brown Ambassador ensure you personally reflect the Bobbi Brown image in grooming and management style at all times cascading information as directed within a professional manner and adhering to any confidentiality as required.

  • Undertake any other tasks that may be required from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Strong Team Leadership and Team development skills

  • Previous Retail experience within Cosmetic / Fashion industry at a management level is desirable

  • Makeup artistry experience desirable

  • Standalone Store experience is an advantage
