Estée Lauder 2D Designer

Responsible for assisting the Design Manager in all aspects of promotional

material, from concept through to artwork and final print / online

execution, in accordance with New York Creative Direction, and local initiatives.

  • Printed on-counter POS (2-D & 3-D)

  • Collateral layouts for in-store promotions

  • Promotional literature

  • Transparency layouts and guidelines

  • Bespoke in-store prints, and claddings

  • Merchandising guidelines and internal communications (print / digital)

  • Local advertising

  • Digital content creation ( email, bespoke screen content, online advertising)


Whilst remaining within the identified brand parameters, these must constantly push boundaries in terms of creativity, form, and materials. They should reflect the brands position as a market leader and never be formulaic or repetitive.

Quality Control

  • Ensure constant communication with all suppliers to maintain: appropriate

  • standards of print and colour matching.

  • Approval of all cropping and balancing of graphic and photographic elements.

  • Ensure the Creative Direction and consisitency of the brand is adhered to through

  • the correct use of logos, typefaces, and imagery across all disciplines.

Project Management

  • Maintain a good knowledge of the promotional calendar throughout the year.

  • Ensure workload and priorities are managed to ensure all agreed deadlines are met.

  • Ensure good channels of communication are maintained with all relevant

  • departments, retailers and suppliers.


  • Provide guidance and support to the Marketing department to maintain expected

  • standards of design, creativity and commercial impact.

  • Provide guidance and support to the Visual Merchandising team by providing

  • bespoke layouts and artwork for store-front/column claddings.

  • Provide support to the 3-D designer in all local initiatives, and creation of visuals

  • Establish/maintain good relations with Global Creative Department in New York.


  • Previous experience in a Design role (experience with beauty or fashion brand would be preferable)

  • Must be fully conversant with Adobe software (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Mac literate

  • Good working knowledge of the print process and preparing print-ready artwork

  • Experience producing content for digital formats (banners, emails, social content)

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Proven understanding of typography, layout and grid structures

  • Good time-management skills and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

What would set you apart in the process?

  • Experience of 3D visualisation with SketchUp an advantage

  • Video editing experience (ideally with Adobe Premier Pro & After effects)

  • Experience creating interactive PDFs using Indesign
