Travel Retail Europe, Middle East and Africa wish to recruit a Field Visual Merchandiser who will cover all brands and major airport locations across the Middle East and will be based in Dubai. They will report to the Corporate Visual Merchandising Manager, Travel Retail EMEA.

The primary function of this role will take place in Travel Retail environments the majority of which are at the major airports in the Middle East. Travelling to new and existing installations, understanding how to improvise at counter where necessary and teaching staff how to merchandise the Travel Retail model. Implementing guidelines set by the brands and liaising with the Visual Merchandising teams in London will be an integral part of the daily workload. In store experience, preferably in the retail field of Visual Merchandising is essential.

This role is corporate, covering all brands and locations within the major airports in the Middle East (brands include, Estee Lauder, Clinique, MAC, Jo Malone, La Mer, Tom Ford, Bobbi Brown, Origins and ADF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Regular communication with the EMEA Visual Merchandising Teams, creating and implementing planograms as well as working within budget guidelines.

  • Work closely with the Visual Merchandising team, to execute merchandising in store for new installations, retrofits and VIP visits, corporately and events. This includes developing planograms when necessary, updating and producing communication bands, lightboxes and any other related visual merchandising material that is necessary.

  • Maintain a special focus on top locations ensuring all these flagship doors are updated with the latest and brand relevant Visual Merchandising collaterals. Top doors will be visited regularly and a photographic record created and maintained for these environments including, where possible, the competition.

  • VIP visits; organizing and ensuring all updates happen in advance, closely communicating with all parties, working to improve the current process for these important trips by Senior Management.

  • Working with the brands Visual Merchandising teams to roll out all new merchandising guidelines as per newness, launch and the relevant brands marketing calendar. Maintenance requests will be checked and followed.

  • Ensuring the implementation of Special Events will be a specific and important part of the role.

  • Coordinate with retailers and Account Coordinator’s for relevant and regular visits and understand the process of gaining access through airport security.

  • Important to note: working outside of normal working hours will be required on occasion, especially when merchandising new installations.
