An exciting opportunity has arisen within Estée Lauder Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) to appoint a Field Visual Merchandising Manager, responsible for all brands within Travel Retail EMEA. The role is based in our London head office but regular travel throughout the region will be a prerequisite of the role.

The purpose of this role is to implement our visual merchandising vision across all our brands within the airports throughout EMEA. Brands include, Estee Lauder, Clinique, MAC, Too Faced, Jo Malone London, La Mer, Tom Ford, Bobbi Brown, Origins, Kilian, Le Labo, Frederic Malle, Becca, Glam Glow and ADF. This role reports directly to the Store Design and Visual Merchandising Director.

This person must have the ability to lead a talented team of Field Visual Merchandising Executives, guide them in their role & brands, and engage with them on a daily basis on multiple faceted projects simultaneously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Regular communication with the Field Visual Merchandising Team, implementing merchandising guidelines in store and in promotional sites. Merchandising new counter installations

  • Work closely with the brand VM heads in the office developing planograms when necessary, updating and producing communication bands, lightboxes and any other related visual merchandising material necessary

  • Maintain a special focus on top locations ensuring all these flagship stores are updated with the latest, brand VM collaterals. Visit flagship stores regularly to ensure excellence in execution and share reports and photos of those counters including competition brands with the rest of team

  • VIP visits; Organizing and ensuring all updates happen in advance, closely communicating with all parties, working to improve the current process for these important trips by Senior Management

  • Working with the brands VM and Marketing teams to roll-out all new merchandising guidelines as per newness, launch following the brands marketing calendar

  • Maintenance requests will be checked and followed up

  • Coordinate with retailers, sales teams and Field VM regular store visits. Understanding the process of gaining access through airport security

  • Manage the travels and T&E of the Field Visual Merchandising team

  • Important to note: out of normal working hours will be required on occasions especially when merchandising new installations

Qualifications

This position requires sound comprehensive knowledge of visual merchandising, project management, and the ability to read store plans and elevations. The VM Manager will need a creative eye and commercial mindset who can be the authority on Visual Merchandising to the wider retail team. A strong knowledge of industry and regulatory airport standards is key.

The candidate will:

  • Be a strong team leader with excellent people management skills

  • Visual merchandising experience and experience of managing a team

  • Have a related degree qualification

  • Strong organization, follow up and prioritization skills

  • Ability to Travel 40% of the time

  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Have a ‘hands on’ mindset

  • Deadline oriented and possesses superior organizational skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Have good technical skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft office
