This position is responsible for handling all photo shoot and video productions from initial concept and pre-production through post-production.
The Art Buyer, is responsible for strengthening the creative concept. Working with the Creative Director on sourcing new talent, photographers, illustrators, and hair, makeup, and fashion stylists.
In addition, the role is responsible for working with Finance and Creative Director in organizing the budgets and assessments of financials.
Other responsibilities include implementing policies and procedures including generating legal contracts for all talent, photographers, directors and illustrators.
This entails securing all contracts, copyrights, usage rights for photography/video and model/talent selections and music clearances.
Research and source new and existing talent for Jo Malone London brand, which includes: photographers, directors, illustrators, hair, makeup, stylists and models.
Liaise with all facets of the Creative Department, during all productions and shoots to facilitate production from start to finish for Jo Malone London collections creative assets, and Jo Malone London branding initiatives, and internal creative projects.
Support the Creative Director in researching and targeting strategic business opportunities and partnerships with designers, artists, fashion brands, etc.
Interfaces and collaborates with internal project leads on a per project basis. Creates, manages and tracks applicable budgets and project time lines to ensure deliverables are met.
Processing of advance requests, invoices, organize all job jackets, facilitate contracts and release signatures, travel for shoots, creates itineraries and researches new photographers and video artists when needed.
Coordinate contracts for all photo shoots, negotiating all photographers, hair and makeup talent, stylists, directors and models.
Coordinate all model castings.
Work with legal and marketing to negotiate and obtain usage rights for all images, still and video.
Support the management of entire budget for creative production by managing the invoice process and ensuring the budget is up to date.
Communicate with Creative Director and Finance on budget management to ensure financial accuracies throughout the fiscal.
Manage post production and retouching for beauty and still life photography, including creation of timelines and management of final deliverables.
Work with Brand and Creative teams on photography needs and track to calendars for seasonal and non-seasonal photography asks
Work with varying departments on non-seasonal photography requests
Co-ordinate all products and comps for shoots
Proven experience with photography and video production
High level of organizational and planning skills
Clear communication skills and ability to navigate creative process
Proven track record of managing projects, budgets, and timelines. Well organized and deadline oriented.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and strong presentation skills.
Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with clients, vendors and photographers.
Able to organize and schedule work effectively, handle multiple tasks and work well under time constraints.
Must be team oriented, diplomatic, self-starter.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Photoshop and general database management.
Flexibility with schedule and ability to work long hours across several weeks depending on production schedule.
