Overview

Jo Malone London is recruiting for a Junior Global Social Media Manager for a fixed term contract.

The Global Junior Social Media Manager will be responsible for organising key functions and operations of the Global Social Media Team. From acting as a liaison to markets, to implementing and managing global social campaigns. The Global Junior Social Media Manager will be responsible for helping to drive success of the brand’s social activities globally and in key markets, while ensuring we are delivering strong KPIs and growth across our all social platforms.

This is a key role within a very fast paced and changing environment; multi-tasking whilst maintaining a strong, strategic and holistic overview of all local markets, the brand and world of social media is critical to success. A proven track record working within a global team is also required as the role will be working closely across all markets.

The successful candidate will have a background in social media; preferably within the luxury industry, and be an organised and motivated individual with a strong attention to detail. A background in paid social media, reporting and analytics is necessary. Excellent people skills are vital in order to build collaborative relationships within the organisation.

This role will report to the Global Social Media Manager and will be supported by the Global Social Media Co-ordinator and Trainee.

Job Requirements

  • Act as programme lead and project manager for select campaigns, from planning and execution to reporting

  • Liaising with and acting as the first point of contact for select markets from questions on day to day social activities to helping implement a local in-market campaign

  • Preparing paid social guidelines for market implementation and producing warp-up programme reports

  • Developing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting documenting the brands social media activities globally and by market, utilising reporting tools such as Socialbakers and Sysomos

  • Work with all markets globally to cascade global social strategy ensuring global alignment and consistency

  • Mentor and develop global, regional and market teams on social media

  • Support and help implement all global communications social initiatives

  • Propose innovative campaigns to extend brand presence socially, drive traffic to website(s) and boutiques, and increase engagement and loyalty

  • Supervise and collaborate with wider social media team on the following key responsibilities:

  • Creatively and proactively engage consumers online to drive brand conversations and consumer relationships utilising a brand-appropriate tone of voice

  • On a regular basis, identify issues, patterns and trends in consumer comments/inquiries and funnel information to the appropriate departments

  • Measure, synthesize, and share social media performance using standardised social media metrics; develop related recommendations

  • Developing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting documenting the brands social media activities globally and by market, utilising reporting tools such as Socialbakers and Sysomos

  • Maintain a high level of presentation and attention to detail in preparation of document

  • Ongoing research, monitoring, and reporting of key competitors in the social landscape

Qualifications

  • Highly creative, innovative, and resourceful mindset

  • Sociable, outgoing personality. Excellent people skills: build collaborative relationships within a matrix organisation and with considerable geographical distance between teams

  • Ability to proactively reach out to and navigate among multiple constituents and regions

  • Sound judgment to drive optimal brand engagement in online beauty/brand communities; adhere to a clear, brand-appropriate tone of voice; and identify/escalate potential issues/crises

  • Strong knowledge and daily use of key social media

  • Willingness and ability to support and help drive “digitalisation” of brand teams, educating key brand personnel on social media

  • Net savvy (high engaged in social networking sites & all things Web 2.0)

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a very well established social media background including an understanding of global channels; preferably within the luxury industry. Previous international experience and management of a global budget is essential. Excellent people skills, with a credible track record in mentoring, are vital in order to build collaborative relationships within a geographically stretched matrix organisation. Lastly faultless attention to detail is a must.

  • Luxury brand/beauty/fashion/entertainment experience a plus
