The National Account Manager is the interface between the brand head office and field team and retailer head office team for all retail partner store groups. They are responsible for managing strategic accounts / store groups; overseeing all wholesale and concession operational initiatives ensuring the brand meets and exceeds its wholesale goals. The role has one direct report in the National Accounts Co-Ordinator to support the achievement of the department objectives.

The National Accounts Manager will possess strong organizational plans, have exceptional negotiating skills and able to quickly build outstanding collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is imperative.

Drive Sales Performance and Profitability

  • Achieve agreed retail and wholesale targets for each retailer.

  • Deliver the brand strategy via timely sell in of all new product launches, re-promotes, and brand initiatives.

  • Development and implementation of retailer strategic plans, maximising retail potential whilst ensuring NOP goals are met, and working in partnership across internal departments to develop these strategies.

  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills in order to achieve brand objectives.

  • Ensure the stock holding and mix is correct for each retailer group and these are maintained at all times.

  • Maintain and update centrally agreed staffing / productivity levels with retailers ensuring brand productivity goals are met across all retailer groups.

  • Have a thorough understanding of sales data, retailer insights, field team feedback and market trends in order to influence future strategic direction of each retailer and associated stock plan needs.

  • Develop with central retailer teams incremental sales and service opportunities.

  • Partner effectively with online team to ensure omni channel support in stock mix and strategy across both channels

Deliver Operations Excellence

  • Ownership and management of wholesale tracking, daily, weekly, monthly to ensure brand goals are met and exceeded.

  • Effectively communicate to Business Manager / Wholesale Director on challenges and opportunities in achieving the

  • Work pro-actively with Demand Planning and Inventory Control to ensure current sales trends are accounted for within forecasts, identify stock issues and develop strategy to overcome these.

  • To ensure effective communication and co-ordinated activity between Marketing, Education, Communications, Visual Merchandising and Sales

  • Maximise the opportunity of space, location and stock mix by door in collaboration with marketing, VM, field team and retailer.

  • Maintain excellent communications with retail partners on stock availability and optimisation to ensure goals are met on fill rates and availability of Top 100 SKUs.

  • Effective two-way communication to the Wholesale Field team on strategic updates by retailer where applicable.

  • Management of direct report; benchmarking business expectations and mentoring self-development within the role.

Additional Requirements

  • Store visits around the UK and Ireland as and when needed.

  • To complete projects as and when required by Wholesale & Concession Director or VP/GM

  • Exceptional skills using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.

  • Ability to work with flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends in a fast-pace environment.
