Job Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bobbi Brown marketing department as a Maternity cover for Product Manager; Colour, Trend, Media and QVC. This role reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for the coaching and development of a Marketing Assistant and Marketing Apprentice.
This dynamic and varied role is responsible for the overall management of the Colour and Trend categories, as well as the Trade marketing plans and Media campaigns across all brand categories, plus driving the QVC business for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. As such, this role includes strategic planning, delivering market share and retail sales growth in line with brand objectives and the management for all launches as well as the re-promotes of profitable key franchises.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
You will be the catalyst responsible for leading and project managing all Colour and Trend marketing programmes to meet the brand’s strategic and financial objectives. This includes the implementation of the global plan as well as the creation and development of UK initiatives to drive the category forward, based on a full understanding and analysis of the market, the timely execution and follow-through of all plans and analysis and recommendations for the future from key learnings.
Need to demonstrate outstanding consumer-inspired strategic and analytical skills as well as commercial acumen as you will be working closely with various teams across the brand to ensure accurate, timely and on budget execution of all category plans.
The ability to strategically plan and manage the trade marketing side of the business for the brand’s major retailers along with and most importantly the overall management of the QVC business for the brand in the UK.
You will also be responsible for the management of all paid for Media for the brand across all categories working together with the Marketing Manager and co-ordinating with the social, communications teams and the media agency to deliver robust Media Campaigns, to budget and delivering on all KPIs.
Building strong relationships with all brand teams, some corporate functions, retailers and suppliers are essential to the role.
Proven experience in outstanding operational marketing skills gained within the beauty industry is key. To succeed in this fast-paced highly visible position, desirable applicants must be consumer inspired, have a passion and creativity to innovate beyond product, as well as be proactive and a strong team player.
KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ownership of Colour Categories: Eye, Lip and Cheek and limited edition Trend Categories from forecasting to on counter implementation
Strong knowledge of the UK and Global Beauty Industries; competitors, trends, NPD
Strategically developing and implementing local initiatives to drive these categories forward.
Sales reporting and analysis of all new launches and category performance.
Management of Marketing Assistant who assists in driving these categories and has specific responsibility for retailer exclusives and local developments.
Strategically work with Marketing Manager, Sales Director, National Accounts and VP to plan the global marketing calendar and develop bespoke local activations in order to leverage key launches to maximise launch impact and build strong retail relationships.
Working closely with National Accounts to deliver strong Trade Marketing Plans for our key Retail Partners, including regular meetings to adapt and review planning and support, as well as co-ordinating with internal departments; Events, Social and Online.
Work with internal departments; Marketing, Social, Comms and Online to develop the Media Strategy for selected 5
Brief media agency on all seasonal media campaigns to develop and deliver strong Media Campaigns to the desired KPIs.
Brief and manage artwork agency to create relevant artwork for campaigns.
Manage Media budget for the Brand
Present post campaign analysis to internal teams, and establish learnings for future campaigns
Strategically drive the brand QVC business through the negotiation with the QVC buying/ planning teams of the overall strategy, business and commercial goals across all QVC platforms;
Negotiation of optimal show times and dates for the brand throughout the fiscal year.
Gain approval for each show of the locally developed new kits, price points, product line-ups, show times, online mix, reorders and follow-up of PO receipt
Liaise with QVC cross functional Matrix Teams: Estee Lauder; UK Master-data, Inventory Planning, Demand Planner, National Accounts, Social, Online, Education and QVC Teams; Buying, Planning and Production Teams.
Collate feedback, analyse returns reports to make more informed kit decisions going forward and produce half yearly recap presentations
Organise and manage the Marketing Assistant and Marketing Apprentice for the;
Planning, co-ordination and execution of each live shows
Update and maintain all QVC product and show tracking documentation.
Co-ordinate and brief QVC guesting team for every show.
Manage Online and Social platform brand representation.
Extremely well organized within this multitasking role
Must be flexible and demonstrate agility to adapt to a rapidly changing work stream, hence must have the ability to think on the spot and work well under pressure.
Creative flare but also possess good analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Motivated to learn, able to use initiative and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Confident individual that works well in a team and builds good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and as such must be have good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to manage team as well as being a team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
