Regional Indirect Procurement Manager - Travel Retail EMEA

Our Travel Retail division covering Europe, Middle East and Africa wish to appoint a Regional Indirect Procurement Manager. This position is based in their Travel Retail offices located in Central London and reports to the Indirect Procurement Lead for Travel Retail Worldwide in Switzerland with dotted line reporting to the Regional Finance Director based in the London offices.

The purpose of this role is to conduct analysis to leverage procurement opportunities, create scale to reduce cost, maintain or increase quality and support Indirect Procurement as a value add service capability. Evaluate current cost and indirect procurement models to improve business efficiencies and total cost of ownership in Indirect categories. These primarily include Store Design & Visual Merchandising (SD&VM), Advertising & Promotions such as Advertising, Media, Agencies and Print.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Lead Procurement Process Management (RFXs)Negotiations with vendors

  • Business strategy/ knowledge

  • Change Management

  • Spend analysis and recommendation on sourcing

  • Cross-functional collaboration and responsibilities

  • Budgetary authority


The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated procurement professional with flexible analytical and management skills to grow. Significant experience in procurement operations/analysis is required and a professional related certification is desirable.

Candidates need to be able to demonstrate an excellent track record in influencing, negotiation and project management to achieve impressive results in managing purchasing activities within a market of mixed categories. Effective communication skills to establish and maintain professional working relationships are essential together with experience in change management and new process implementation. Excellent computer skills (ERP systems, SAP, Ariba) and a flexible, positive ability to bring structure to a creative environment are important to the success of this opportunity.
