The Product Management Lead position will deliver measurable business results through product solutions that meet both markets needs and company goals, manage all aspects of the Product Life Cycle for Products and Solutions as well as the Go-To-Market Strategy with significant company impact in a new or established product line. This position is responsible for market and customer needs research, creating and executing the complete go-to-market strategy, refining the existing product/solution portfolio, creating new consumer driven products/solutions, and working across internal teams to launch products into the market to drive adoption, coordinating operational delivery, and driving profitable market growth. The Product Management Lead supports the business as the expert for their products.

This position is based in New York City and reports into the VP, Global IT Products & Platform

The Product Management Lead

  • Help shape the company's overall business and product strategy working closely with Estee IT executive team.

  • Own the IT overall product roadmap, and product-related KPIs across our hardware, software, services and platform

  • Manage, develop, and mentor our team of product managers by providing vision and role clarity, leadership, coaching, training, and accountability to the team

  • Work closely with the leaders of design, engineering, and marketing to set development and go-to-market processes, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure that Estee is building the right things on schedule

  • Enable team expansion and hire outstanding talent for the product team

  • Implement the right balance of Agile tools, processes, and reporting to keep the team moving quickly and effectively

  • Facilitate priority discussions and decisions across multiple functional teams, as well as the management team by bringing both the relevant data and your point of view

  • Lead product performance understanding and reporting at the management level

  • Support partner and retailer relationships for our sales and business development teams

  • Spearhead initial product concept definitions for new market opportunities and new verticals

  • Clearly communicate product development status, plans, tradeoffs, and progress toward milestones

  • Roll up your sleeves and write business requirements, lead sprint planning, manage the product backlog, do acceptance test and whatever else is necessary to help us keep product moving out the door

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Create a market driven strategic plan tied to market trends, analysis of existing and potential consumers, and deep understanding of the competitive landscape through the mining of broad industry data

  • 8 years of product management experience, including 5 years product team leadership experience.

  • Strong background in agile development methodologies and engineering technologies

  • An analytical and metrics-driven work style; you should breathe data

  • Superior organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to recruit and retain a killer product team; you love being a manager with a strong ability to hold teams accountable for deliverables

  • Bias towards action, great collaborator, and master communicator

  • Willingness to get your hands dirty and tackle a problem directly

  • Experience with inter-company technical integrations

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering, design, or business-related field or equivalent industry experience

  • 8 years’ experience as a Product Manager

  • A demonstrated and focused desire to build products and services that consumers will love

  • Expert knowledge of agile development methodologies

  • Experience working with designers and engineers to launch multiple digital products

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive timelines
