Associate Scientist, Makeup Third Party Manufacturing

Review new formulations as well as maintain current assigned products and shade extensions within established timelines with support from Manager. Manage and track all aspects of developing projects accurately from third party ILN receipt through to production release. Work well with team members, support team decisions and share ideas. Build collaborative relationships, communicate and interact with internal and external customers. Provide support to third party vendor when needed.
Data entry of third party formulas and related documents into an R&D management system.
Review and troubleshoot third party vendor formulas for ingredient acceptability, stability or safety concerns, discussing with manager as necessary.
Communicates with third party vendors to request samples, formulas, specifications, ingredient information and other necessary technical data that is needed for formula release
Prepares samples for micro, safety and stability testing. Performs stability testing on all new products.
Productive and timely communication with all vendors and collaboration with other support groups within ELC companies
Managing multiple project priorities and timelines is a must – working independently with the ability to ask questions for clarification on any issues that arise.
Continue to develop an understanding of raw materials and their functions in various product forms
-BS in Chemistry or related science or equivalent
At least 1 year of formulation experience preferred; Experience working with third party manufacturers is a plus
Knowledge of all MS Office applications including Outlook, OneNote and Excel; Knowledge of RDS and batch card release process; Technical writing; Data Interpretation; In-house Standards of Operation (SOP);
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent time management skills; Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to use Penetrometer, Photocopier, Analytical balance Viscometer, pH meter, Chatillion breakage, Drop point apparatus, Microscope, Tube sealer and Thermometer
