Associate Scientist, Skin Physiology and Pharmacology

This position is also responsible for maintaining all cell cultures, skin models, ex vivo for themselves and the other scientists. They will also be require to have a introductory knowledge of physical measurement science on ex vivo skin, skin models, and material science. This should include HPLC analytic ability.
Maintenance of all cell cultures, skin models, in partnership with Scientists
Conduct testing on the physical properties of skin (skin models and ex vivo) such as biomechanical properties, optical properties, etc.
Develop and investigate new materials and how they may influence skins mechanical properties.
Assess formula release and penetration characteristics to help optimize product design and develop new delivery systems.
Keeps management informed of project progress. May make project direction recommendations.
Maintenance of general laboratory supply inventory.
Stays abreast of developments in the cosmetic field and continues to demonstrate performance improvement.
Some knowledge of biological testing and general laboratory wet chemistry.
Knowledge of ex vivo and skin model biology and processing.
Knowledge of mechanical testing, texture analysis, stress, strain, HPLC.
Good oral and written communication skills.
