POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, Corporate Finance Planning will be responsible and accountable for overseeing global management functions, analyzing results from the monthly closing, estimates and annual budgeting process. This positon will drive the analytics needed for the global functional teams as it relates to KPIs, trend analysis, year over year insight, metrics to help the business leaders in evaluating the drivers of the operational costs in the management roll up. Overall Global Finance Governance as it relates to operating costs and headcount. Will require frequent and regular interaction with senior level executives, including the CFO and Corporate Controller. The candidate must have a strong analytical, capability to provide insight, develop KPIs and trend analysis. Train the team on to develop and maintain these to provide to senior management on a regular basis. The candidate must be able to lead and manage a team in an environment of multi-level reporting and ever changing priorities.
Supervise and develop staff. Provide leadership and guidance to global finance leads in other functional groups. (HR, Office Services, R&D, Supply Chain and GIS)
Supervise and Review Quarterly Productivity reporting for all functions. Review explanations of variances quarter to quarter, year to year to ensure we proactively can explain prior to submission.
Coordinate and oversee the preparation of global Strategy and Annual Budget for each of the supporting functions. Participate in presentation to executive management.
Coordinate Monthly Estimates and work closely with each team to provide insight, present risk and opportunities.
Coordinate with Domestic Accounting Group and supervise the completion of
Monthly balance sheet reviews
Outside auditor requests
Special requests of Exec VP’s , Controller and CFO
Ensure SOX compliant procedures are maintained Review cost center reports for unusual activity and accuracy.
Review closing results and provide commentary.
Coordinate review and sign-off on headcount reports for accuracy.
Review and approve invoices for payment and proper coding. Resolve items. Innovate and advance the use of SAP/SRM tools.
Leverage and expand the CPM tool across functions to maximize multi dimensional planning. Be an innovator in leading best practices among functional groups.
Lead annual development/distribution of salary templates with Oracle GIS team, Brands and cost center users.
Oversee the Management shared service allocation process. Working closely with the business units that charge to the Brands, Functions, and Regions.
Focus on related Global Functional Reporting with an emphasis on PO and coding block compliance.
Prioritize resources to meet special requests of functional heads and senior finance management.
Presentation to Senior Management as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum 10 years experience in accounting.
Proven problem solving capabilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks, a self-starter, and organized.
Ability to present to with ease to Senior Management.
Excellent customer service skills needed.
Knowledge of financial and data base systems (CPM, SAP, SAP BW, Tableau).
An understanding of the essential fundamentals of cross border billing and tax reporting.
Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management and reporting.
An understanding of functional allocations and impacts on profitability reporting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
