Senior Analyst, Regulatory

Description

Fully dedicated to the initial integration of the newly acquired brands and newly integrated brands into ELC R&D processes and day to day management of regulatory/product integrity issues concerning these brands.

Reviews existing and new formulations for global regulatory compliance. Communicates and ensures execution of changes, if any, to team and upper management.

Monitors reformulations.

Prepares ingredient lists (ILNs) for existing and new formulations for newly acquired and newly integrated brands.

Initiates FG MSDSs for ELCV brands.

Prepares, gathers information and documentation for Product Information Files (PIFs) for newly acquired brands pre-integration as needed.

Works with cross functional teams within NBEG and with brands to support corporate initiative in developing the next generation of prestige beauty brands across all product categories.

Supports, and manages to completion, all aspects of global Regulatory and Product Integrity function for each newly acquired and newly integrated brand.

  • Responsible for liaising with other R&D functions R&D to obtain technical data pertinent to the newly acquired and newly integrated brands and maintaining tracking sheets

  • Reviews existing and new formulations for global compliance

  • Overseas changes/corrections to formulations are made according to formula regulatory review

  • Monitors reformulations

  • Prepares ILNs and initiates FG MSDSs for new and existing formulas for brands

  • Uses independent judgment when reviewing technical information based on established regulatory, safety and corporate practices.

  • Collects and inputs information into appropriate reports, charts, spread sheets and provides weekly reviews for management

  • Prepares all required foreign regulatory product registrations documents to support desired market growth.

  • Advises and assists NBEG and new brands in meeting regulatory policies, practices and procedures.

  • Reviews new product formulations for ingredient acceptability and works with Packaging Operations on packaging and environmental compliance.

  • Performs other job requirements as specified by Manager

  • Maintains understanding of cosmetic regulations, as it relates to ingredients and finished product

  • Gains working knowledge of safety, claims support and regulatory as conducted by ELC.

Qualifications

-Minimum Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts with focus on biology, chemistry, biochemistry or toxicology

-English – both written and verbal proficiency, other language(s) desirable

-Less than 10% travel

-3-5 years minimum experience

  • Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

  • Team player, able to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross-functional teams and outside of organization.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of chemistry and broad cosmetic/drug regulatory experience preferred.

  • Fully proficient and experienced with Windows Office, Excel and Outlook and computer applications.
