Primary purpose of position is to:
- Provide critical formulation support to our key makeup charter innovation programs;
-Create and prototype new products, product forms and regimens around breakthrough color cosmetic technologies;
-Play a critical role in the development, evaluation, scale-up and commercialization of novel color cosmetic products and regimens that will delight and excite our global consumers.
- Work with a small group of creative Material Scientists on the design, formulation and launch of breakthrough skin care and makeup products for our global prestige beauty business
-Navigate through internal formulation databases as well as safety, regulatory and clinical protocols in support of formulation development, scale-up and commercialization
-Keep pace with new developments in cosmetic science and related fields, and help identify and assess emerging skin care and color cosmetic innovation opportunities and potential opportunities for external research partnerships
- Develop and support innovative technologies that fuel brand growth by addressing unmet business and consumer needs & benefits, regulatory & quality requirements and the competitive environment.
-BS in Chemistry or equivalent
-5 Years Minimum Experience
-Masters of Science or equivalent in physico-chemical sciences strongly preferred
-Ability to work within a multidisciplinary, matrix-based research team in support of a technical program that quickly assesses new makeup and skin care innovation opportunities
-5 years experience in formulating a variety of makeup and skin care products within critical timelines and resources
-Strong written and oral communication skills
