Senior Scientist, Skincare

Responsible for the development of new skincare products and utilizes his/her creativity to provide innovative products/concepts. The individual will be assigned multiple projects with different degrees of complexity. He/she will develop new product ideas/concepts that will provide future growth for the company. The individual will ensure the timely completion of product development activities according to schedule.


  • Actively searching and developing new ideas/concepts, breakthrough technologies from variety of industries, research and educational institutions, scientific literatures, and be able to translate into tangible cosmetic products.

  • Develops new and innovative technology/products that substantially differs from or exceeds current products and technologies.

  • Develops new approaches for the delivery of the projects. Makes creative and innovative contributions to product formulations.

  • Conduct patent searches, be able to read, write, and file patent proposals.

  • Conduct research based on topics of special interest and develop product applications based on research.

  • Follows projects from concept to prototype development to manufacturing. Assures that all testing to guarantee a marketable final product is on schedule.

  • Determines stability of the formulations and ensures commercial feasibility.

  • Participates in brainstorming meetings and provides out of box thinking ideas.

  • Stays abreast of developments in the cosmetic field and continues to demonstrate continuous performance improvement. Reviews and prepares analysis of emerging cosmetic technology.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with all R&D departments & support groups, QA, Technical Services, Manufacturing and NY Product Development Department.




  • B.S. degree in relevant scientific field

  • 5 years technical experience in the cosmetic industry with 2 or more years of supervisory experience. Proficient at all aspects of category (Make-up/Treatment) technology.
