The Assistant Account Manager is responsible for managing the independents, QVC, military, and off-price channels, exceeding wholesale financial budgets and continually seeking new business opportunities and revenue streams. In addition, this role will support the Nordstrom launch.

Role reports to Director, Sales Management plus works closely with members of North American sales and global retail marketing teams as well as external sales consultants.


Independents / Military / Off Price

Maintain strong relationships with all retail partners, continuously working to further develop dynamic working partnerships.

Secure and track successful shipment of all retailer purchase orders

Generate strong seasonal promotional plan to ensure robust sell-thru activities to support company product launches and key selling periods throughout the year including samples, promotions, events, testers and GWP’s. Assistant Manager owns both creation and implementation of this sales plan.

Daily interaction with external sales consultant and buyers to communicate new product launches, discontinued products, out of stock status and key initiatives, ensuring all selling efforts meet company brand standards.

Responsible for weekly sales reporting to internal team including sales by sku analysis, retailer trends and recommendations to maximize product flow within retail environment

Ensure accurate SKU forecasting for all launches and promotional activity including key details of retailer and product programs.

Preparation of regular business updates to executive team and internal partners.

Manage all retailer meeting planning including but not limited to agenda alignment, supporting materials, and ensuring internal team preparation and all meeting follow up is communicated and completed in a timely manner.

Proactively interact with internal departments to ensure proper handling of all account needs and customer service requirements.


Assist with all set up functions including but not limited to QA process including spec cards, documents, and approval follow up, communication and follow up of all purchase orders.

Maintain brand portal, pulling sales data and key information as needed and circulating key data to internal team.

Manage all program timelines, ensuring key deadlines are met and show assets delivered.

Liaison with external sales consultant and on-air talent to ensure full channel support

Job Requirements:

2 – 3 years of experience in the cosmetic or retail industry is required, preferably in direct sales.

Successful track record of building strong professional relationships and driving sell-in against budget.

Excellent communicator with ability to work with cross-functional teams and retail partners.

Results-driven attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and a professional demeanor.

Analytical ability and acumen.

Strong project management skills; ability to prioritize, manage and drive multiple projects.

Detail orientated, organized and structured.

Strong Follow-up skills.

Keen sense of elevated client service.

Energetic, responsive team player with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and power point.

Light travel (up to 20%).
