About the Job

This position will report into the Product Marketing Director to support with the management, development and implementation of the skincare product portfolio, innovation pipeline and product marketing strategy with focus on Asian-driven and dermatological inspired franchises (e.g. Nutritious, Micro Essence, Perfectionist Pro) by category and subcategory to enhance brand story and drive growth and market share gains in priority channels and regions.

About Your Responsibilities

Innovate products and concepts that create new business opportunities

  • Support in managing with innovative product development and pipeline strategy in support of brand's strategic direction and priorities and informed by identification of recruitment and loyalty drivers

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of the Asian consumer and her specific needs, habits, and regimens through competitive analysis and consumer insights

  • Carry out white space opportunities based on findings from consumer insights, social listening, CRM data and transposition from other industries, specifically from Asian regional trends

  • Assist in development of 3 year innovation strategy and 18 month detailed calendar including innovative and trendsetting market strategies, promotional programs, and product concepts Conduct research to build business case for Product Development and Concept Ideation briefs

  • Prepare Product Development briefs in partnership with Product Development and Concept Ideation briefs in partnership with Consumer Marketing and socialize with senior leadership

  • Support with creation of Concept Development briefs

Product strategy that drives business and reinforces brand equity

  • Collaborate in development of skincare product marketing strategy including product architecture, product launch process and go-to-market strategy

  • Collect and analyze sales trends, category shifts, COG changes, market intelligence and competition with focus on Asian relevancy

  • Compile analysis and deliver quarterly reports to team and brand leadership

  • Make recommendations to seize Asian, specifically Chinese, market based on analysis

  • Support in managing ad hoc business analysis requests as needed

Launch plans that incorporate 360 elements

  • Support in managing end-to-end launch process, from product selection to go-to-market strategies focused on the consumer journey to include mobile first, social first, and video first mindset

  • Collaborate with execution of launch strategies within designated budget and COG targets

  • Implement internal and external sourcing solutions for new products and existing businesses

  • Assists in the development of creative briefs for all programs and launches

  • Assists with claims testing of insight-based consumer concepts with external partners

  • Manage strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to develop launch strategies and product briefs

In collaboration with Consumer Marketing, champion, drive, and build emerging marketing trends and technology capabilities to meet customers where they are

  • Explore the possibility of new marketing technologies across digital, mobile, and omnichannel platforms to enhance the customer experience and drive brand engagement in new and innovative ways with particular attention to Asian platforms (e.g. WeChat, Weibo etc.)

  • Remain relentlessly up-to-date on emerging and future trends across all relevant industries to identify and grow business opportunities

  • Support with managing the implementation of creative technology solutions for the brand that increase efficiency, reduce spend and increase marketing reach

Responsible for financial, forecasting and pricing analysis

  • Work with Finance to accurately project and maintain cost of goods from target costs to final costs

  • Work with the Global Business Planning Group to compile sales forecasts for all assigned franchise launches

  • Work with the Global Pricing Group to conduct pricing analysis related to all assigned products

Leverage key insights gleaned from a refined analytics practice to inform decisions

  • Utilize analytics throughout function to accomplish strategic goals

  • Leverage data to inform decision-making for strategy development and adjustments as necessary

  • Track platform engagement and effectiveness through appropriate analytical tools

  • Become an expert in Beaute Research, an Asian sales reporting service, to track competitive product performance and sales trends

Experiences You Have
