POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Works with Marketing Manager to supervise the development of Origins Global Marketing strategies, programs, and tactics consistent with the brand's short-term and long-term goals across product categories and all channels of distribution.

  • Assists in creating 3 year calendar action plans and helps executing on defined objectives to grow the assigned categories through creativity and innovation.

  • Work closely and consistently to deliver products and programs on time and in budget based on collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and Regional Teams

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helps managing and manages the strategic and creative direction for assigned segments and projects from conception to execution.

  • Helps the Marketing Manager with the conception, development and gaining of internal and regional support for marketing programs for the assigned categories and projects, including an 18 month detailed plan and a 3 year overview.

  • Pro-actively gives input into the development of global/regional marketing product and support calendars always keeping a “digital first” mindset

  • Helps provide direction and assists the Manager in the development with all necessary support groups on assigned categories/projects including: Product Development, Packaging, Design, Creative, Consumer Engagement, Education, Online, Copy, Legal, PDM, and GBSC.

  • Prepares and/or manages the preparation of necessary paperwork, including but not limited to program briefs, Innovation portal stage gates, Marketing Work Requests, job starts, creative and copy requests for assigned categories/projects

  • Supports all forums for program development to insure that programs meet Origins strategic and financial objectives for specified segment with analysis

  • Is the expert for assigned segments for Origins performance (shipments, sell-thru, cost of goods, sku count, pricing and new product forecasts) as well as competitively with regard to products, marketing focus and relevancy to the Origins business

  • Is the expert on the status of all open programs for assigned segments

  • Liaises regularly with cross-functional teams to insure programs meet objectives, are on time, and that cost and budget guidelines are met

  • Consistently delivers and works towards programs on time keeping with the overall Origins strategies and objectives.

  • Works with Manager and Finance to insure all programs are supported in a fiscally responsible manner

  • Creates forecast recommendations and competitive benchmarks to brief GBP.

  • Helps facilitating brainstorming/ideation sessions with cross functional teams to surface and gather new, actionable ideas.

  • Screens ideas, prepares and presents the Upfront Planning Process documents, including concept briefs, cost objectives and comparisons, to gain final brand management approval on new product and project recommendations.

  • Attends calls with our regional partners and oversees recaps to ensure all follow-up work is tracked

  • Responsible for writing and issuing Marketing Bulletins and Turnover Documents for the markets on-time

  • Helps with the preparation of product and pricing information for use by management.

  • Works closely with Creative/Visual Merchandising to insure the most effective, up-to-date and cost efficient testers, display and visual elements for assigned segment

  • Prepares materials for presentation of marketing plans to the all affiliates, i.e. Global and Regional Roundtable meetings, NPL meetings

  • Leads PPD meetings and Creative briefs

  • Support and lead the line edit process – analyze data and create recommendations

  • Manages specific specialty International retailors

  • Supports the Manager in new market launches by reviewing all launch lineup, approving code extensions to markets, and creating market specific assets

  • Builds collaborative relationship and exhibits excellence in execution

Qualifications

  • 4 years of related marketing experience.

  • Undergraduate degree required.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Applications: PowerPoint, Excel

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication, creative, analytical, and verbal skills.

  • Demonstrates ownership of programs and exhibit a keen ability to handle a multitude, highly detail-oriented projects at one time and pro-actively follow up

  • Must be flexible, determined and an excellent team player with a positive and helpful manner

  • Must possess the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships with members of cross-functional and affiliate teams

  • Must be responsible, accountable, organized & have the potential to assume increased responsibility

  • Must demonstrate a passion for the cosmetics business an understanding and passion for Origins philosophy and point of difference
