PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Propose and develop new design initiatives in line with Brand Global vision.

  • Coordinate with visual merchandising, creative, marketing and sales to develop cohesive brand design identity.

  • Collaborate with ED and VP in ensuring Global Brand vision is upheld at consistent level of excellence while addressing regional parameters and concerns.

  • Manage high volume workload and prioritize project requirements effectively.

  • Ensure clear communication, transfer of information and alignment of regional teams to maintain and build collaborative and efficient process.

  • Onboard / Train new and existing VM & Store Design team members

  • Oversee all Retail formats in specified Region (including Shop in Shop, Free Standing stores and Perfumeries):

-All new EL locations: layout – design –3-d visualization (sketch and presentation level) -design development- supervision of project management to project end-punch lists-handovers

-Site inspections/visits /Punchlists (if applicable)

-Quality monitoring during process

-Project Management Overview

-Responsible for Design development drawings

-Responsible for review of Detail drawings

-All shop drawing reviews

  • Supervision / Direction & Coordination of:

-International Affiliates

-Regional Store Design teams

  • Take initiative to be up to date and aware of Global projects and ascertain relevancy for this market.

  • New materials selection and specification.

  • Prototyping schedules and reviews.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of design experience

  • B.Arch or M.Arch preferred and/or alternative design experience (product, industrial, furniture)

  • At least 3 years of project management experience.

  • Ability to detail fixtures in realistic and executable fashion.

  • Knowledge of materials and methods of fabrication and installation of fixtures and construction.

  • Proficient 2D and 3D (programs include: Vectorworks/AutoCad/Google Sketch Up, 3D rendering)

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate others on team.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of retail trends and environments.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as with the team.

  • Must be able to follow projects from inception to completion.

  • Must be able to execute several projects at once in a timely and efficient manner.
