Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, this position will oversee the Strategic Costing and Gross Margin Management processes for a cluster of ELC Brands. The primary function of this position is to instill in brands and the profitable management of new products, including a focus on SKU rationalization and portfolio management. The position will oversee the development of 4 analysts/managers.
Lead the New Product Costing Process for a cluster of ELC Brands. Liaise with brand Senior Management to ensure new product launches are aligned to profit objectives.
Lead, train and develop the Strategic Finance Team. Ensure opportunities for growth, learning and alignment to the strategic vision of the team.
Partner with the Global Marketing teams in each brand to develop accurate cost objectives for all new product launches as well as sets and limited life items. Spearhead the improvement in accuracy and timing of new product cost objectives.
Facilitate brand decision-making regarding new products by generating and presenting timely gross margin impact analyses to brand senior management.
Collaborate with Global Marketing and the Shared Service groups (GSR, GBSC, GBP, Product Dev., Packaging Dev., R&D, Mech. Engineering) for the purpose of improving profitability on new products that do not meet strategic objectives.
Lead the SKU Profitability Analysis process for the brand, enabling strategic portfolio management by looking at individual SKU Performance and identifying areas of opportunity to improve profitability.
Perform ad hoc special projects and analyses on an ongoing basis.
Collaborate with Global Marketing and Global Business Planning on SKU rationalization for new products with the objective of maximizing portfolio profitability and mix.
Contribute guidance, information and analyses to the Global Brands during their annual Strategy and Plan development.
Lead in the automation of existing manual processes and reports.
Minimum 8 years of experience
Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting
MBA / CPA Preferred
