This position plays a critical role in both advising the Brand leadership as well as identifying, prioritizing and delivering technology projects that support the Brand’s near term and long-term growth opportunities. The Brand Technology Leader will help influence the Brand strategy via technology subject matter expertise and deliver solutions that drive competitive advantage and growth. In addition, this person will act as a matrix manager to domain-related solution delivery team leaders who are staffed globally. The leader plays an important role in contributing to talent planning and supports the talent process.

This is a true business technology leadership role requiring a point of view and the ability to make proactive recommendations and drive results. This position will provide subject matter expertise, management and oversight of all technology solutions for the brand and will be accountable for all brand technology investments, as well as managing the Brand technology portfolio including innovation initiatives.

The Brand Technology Leader position is one of the most senior roles in the IT organization. Hence, the leader plays a very important role ensuring that the brand strategies and technology needs are well understood and acted upon across the IT organization. The position requires strong communication, lateral influencing skills and strong business acumen.

This position is based in New York City or Culver City, CA and reports into the SVP Global Brand Technologies with a matrix relationship to the Brand President.

  • Responsible for all brand technology plans and investments and sets the technology strategy for the brand in collaboration with the Brand President.

  • Mobilizes teams (Pods) who solution and deliver enabling technologies for the brand and is accountable for the technology teams that delivers innovative, strategic business solutions to the Brand. These solutions must be consistent with both the corporate AND brand strategic objectives and aligned with the IT strategy and architecture. Drives an Agile mindset and delivery culture.

  • Remains well connected with other brands, regions and technology leaders and is continuously informing the brand leadership of new opportunities to leverage technology from across ELC and to bring innovative solutions to the Brand.

  • Responsible for enabling brand specific marketing and consumer insights through technology and driving this capability across the brand teams based at corporate and throughout the brand regional teams. Ensure the strategic agenda is serviced by strong data and analytic services including data science, analytics and ongoing support.

  • Works effectively across the IT organization to ensure brand strategies and enabling technology needs are well understood and incorporated in our IT strategy.

  • Drives an Agile mindset and delivery culture.

  • Responsible for the brand IT budget and ensuring there is there is clear visibility to IT value delivered commensurate to technology invested.

  • Co-manages a global IT team of employees who reside in New York, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and an extended team of 45 in India. Co-develops staff and manages the future state and IT teams that are necessary to support and strategies globally, regionally and locally.

  • Accountable for all IT solutions delivery overseeing business analysts, solution architects and project managers to implement technology solutions on time and budget and achieve intended business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership in consumer relationship management technologies to enable outstanding client relationships and first class service delivery.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership in marketing technologies such as campaign planning, effectiveness, and consumer insights to enable an exceptional customer luxury experience.

  • Expertise in technology design/architecture and implementation.

  • Hands on experience and demonstrated success in leading web, mobile and social solutions delivery.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership and expertise in data analytics, especially consumer data analytics. Drive outstanding insights and innovative game-changing opportunities through data science and analytics.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership in delivering ecommerce and digital experiences through modern technology platforms.

  • Deep experiences leading Agile delivery and advocacy.

  • Competent in new technology evaluation, ability to support technical change management and provide thought leadership skills in integration technologies, tools and services.

Business Skills

  • Ability to ensure that all technology choices are in context to enabling the brand strategy.

  • Experience developing and implementing retail operation and technology strategies and integrating seamless online and offline retail experiences.

  • Excellent financial acumen and demonstrated ability to develop impactful business cases.

  • Broad global experience and exposure to markets and cultures throughout the world.

  • Using a global perspective, devises plans to enable the Brand’s global growth.

  • Experience with driving innovation to enable brand strategy and bring differentiation and competitive advantage through new technologies and social media.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership in MarTech domain, including A&P effectiveness, earned media value analytics and creative business processes.

  • Deep understanding of merchandising strategies, including assortment and promotional strategies.

  • Ability to enable and enhance the luxury consumer journey.

  • Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
