This role defines and implements key short and long term strategic projects and opportunities, with a specific focus on curating, sizing, and analyzing trends. Through working closely with the product development leadership, this role will connect vendor and supplier early signals with analytics and known macro trends to strategize around the size of the opportunity, their connection to known macro trends, and actions steps moving forward. This role will then be in charge of selling these trends back to the global and regional teams for action and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise closely with product development leadership to curate trends identified through supplier relationships, events, peripheral industries, etc.
Keep a constant pulse on weak signals of trends developing in fashion, wellness, and other peripheral industries & identify the right timing actions to take against the opportunities
Connect these trends to corporate macro and beauty trends
Size the opportunity of the trends and connect them to consumer needs / insights
Help sell the trends to the global and regional teams through design-driven presentations complete with recommended actions
Perform market and category analysis for a broad understanding of where trends fit
Frame and develop business cases to execute recommendations
Define and implement short and long term strategic projects and opportunities
Manage project teams to co-create and then operationalize
Manage coordination of project stakeholders and project working groups
Liaise with and update Senior Management on project progress
Support and build project evaluation / reporting metrics / KPIs
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of experience in a strategic, data-driven & product-focused role
Experience filtering and synthesizing multiple data sets for clear, actionable strategic recommendations
Effective oral and written communication skills, including ability to create and deliver succinct, well-designed presentations to management that drives action
Ability to work across Functions/Regions/Brands and interact effectively with all departments
Builder of strong connections across the Company and with key points of contact
Proven problem-solving ability and framework building
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Flexible mindset, with the ability to shift focus, multi-task, and prioritize in a rapidly changing and sometimes unpredictable environment
Qualifications
