Description

The Marketing Manager supports the North America Marketing Team in the strategic development of the marketing plans. Primarily responsible for driving the development of sell-in needs, program ideation and sell-thru Retailer Programming

North America Strategy & Development

  • Participate in the yearly strategic planning process for the brand portfolio and support the North America Marketing Team through the planning and development process

  • Facilitate North America in-store and sell-in needs to Global Marketing, Creative and manage the development process of the related tools

  • Collaborate with Finance, Demand Planning & GBSC in planning saleable and non-saleable programs

  • Spearhead competitive seasonal promotional pricing research for US & Canada

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Creative, Supply Chain, Finance, Trade Marketing, Account Management, E-Commerce) and ensure seamless communication with regional partners (Canada & Military)

Execution

  • Drive NA collateral development needs and track collateral projects from program ideation to execution. Ensure communication, costs and timeline objectives are achieved and programs ship on schedule

  • Support the Director in the marketing timeline development. Lead the marketing team and collaborate with Creative to route and deliver creative tools by the due date

  • Responsible for creation of all Brand Presentations, including seasonal Retailer Meeting Presentations and Go-To Market presentations

  • Manage saleable and non-saleable forecasts, along with all rolling forecasts in partnership with Demand Planning, Sales and Finance.

  • Lead and drive timely production of local programs via Fast Track process to ensure accurate and on time delivery of ad hoc programs.

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating all NA Marketing team documents including Brand Calendars, planning tools, order forms etc.

  • Review GMW’s and cascade changes and actionable items to the wider team

  • Responsible for all meeting agendas and recaps in partnership with the Assistant Marketing Manager

  • Contribute to the identification of new product concepts based on market trends, competitive activity, brand white space and specific retailer opportunities

  • Partner with Director on COG analysis for all promotional programs within the ADF portfolio

  • In collaboration with Trade Marketing, plan, develop and execute needs for In-Store/ Special Events and Special Projects, such as retailer/consumer sampling programs and all consumer facing events

  • Report ongoing Data Warehouse sales data and provide strategic analysis of brand portfolio and mix of business

  • Analyze and distribute monthly NPD portfolio and brand ranking to the full North America team and complete and compile full competitive analysis during key gifting Holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Holiday)

Lead all requests for e-commerce copy and maintain updated database of all brands approved seasonal copy

Additional Job Specifications (e.g., physical demands, working conditions, equipment/machinery, specific skills, etc.):

  • 5 years related experience. Bachelor degree is required. MBA is a plus

  • Strong sense of accountability and operates with a sense of urgency

  • Highly organized and detail oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and take complete ownership of projects

  • Must be a self-starter with project management skills and a proactive approach to ensure all deliverables are completed in a timely manner

  • Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of creativity

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to personally set priorities and motivate others

  • Marketing experience within Prestige/Luxury Fragrance industry a plus

  • Must possess excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
