The role works closely with the Director of Global Finance & Strategy to support the Global Brand by delivering value added business analysis and decision making support, as well as helping the annual planning and monthly performance management processes. Ad hoc project work to support key brand priorities (e.g., new channels / markets, competitor reviews, process / profitability improvement efforts) forms an important part of the role.
A successful candidate must be naturally curious, self-motivated and possess strong financial modeling and analytical / attention to detail skills. The position requires working closely with colleagues at all levels and across multiple functions.
Works within a matrixed structure and partner with the management team, brands, regions, and corporate, to provide value-added insight into the business.
Provides financial support to other teams within Tom Ford Beauty – International Business Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, among others.
Identifies value creation opportunities via synthesis of consumer, distribution, category and competitor trends.
Analyzes financial information and author / delivers presentations to Senior Management.
Drives new analytics and monitors business performance for the Retail Store channel.
Supports processes changes for developing product launch business case including P&L projections.
Partners with cross-functional teams to identify, execute and track COG Savings.
Assists with key monthly financial analyses for decision making including summary of latest estimate review and discussions with the regions, actual results review vs. budget / latest estimates, risks & opportunities.
Supports internal and external quarterly financial reporting including regional category and channel analysis, royalty review (part of our licensor/licensee relationship), and earnings release / Board of Directors presentations.
Plays a key role in the annual Budget process and Long Range Planning development; also supports the brand strategy and innovation processes. Maintains and updates the Financial Models that serve as a basis for these.
Performs ad hoc business analysis support to the brand and company senior management.
Undergraduate degree – BA/BS in accounting, economics, or finance.
3 years of experience in finance, consulting, investment banking or relevant functions.
Strong financial skillset. 2 years of financial modeling.
Demonstrated results in improving processes and developing financial analysis that provides business insight.
Well organized; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
Team player with self-initiative; exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Business Case/DCF analytical skills; familiarity with SAP financial modules is a plus.
