Senior Designer, Global Visual Merchandising (Content), MAC
As part of a cross-functional team that ideates, designs and executes concepts for seasonal programs, the Senior Designer of Global Visual Merchandising will create compelling designs that showcase products in-store and at events. Products/merchandising are key to the success of our seasonal programs and the best designs will be 3D, effective at story telling but also clear, visually impactful and easy to navigate for our consumers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Based on creative requests/briefs, develop innovative designs that are consistent with overall look and feel of campaigns. These include (but are not limited to) temporary merchandising displays and environmental graphics that can be utilized in different fixtures and store designs globally.
Work with other departments (2D print, digital/social, events) to ideate concepts and present 360 campaigns to Creative leadership team.
Develop mockups (3D and 2D when appropriate) to clearly demonstrate concepts and test designs.
Render stores/fixtures to show designs in context. Assist with additional renderings when needed.
Design, create mechanicals, package and distribute merchandising designs (for production) as needed and under strict deadlines.
Contribute/populate visual merchandising section of program offering documents by collection.
Create and maintain graphic templates/codes for Regions to adapt to their local markets.
Work with vendors to produce prototypes/targets, then create and distribute sample kits to Regions to be able to execute designs with global consistency.
Maintain a well-organized database of graphics (on shared server) for each program developed globally.
Create digital guidelines/presentations/offerings by program for internal/external use.
Assessment of creative requests and ability to formulate initial design proposals with little direction.
Development and presentation of concepts to all levels of Creative team.
Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
4 years of graphic design experience
Beauty and/or fashion experience is REQUIRED
Experience with visual merchandising design, including tester displays, environmental graphics/window displays, props
Experience working in a fast-paced, high pressure, creative environment
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Proficient in 3D design software (Rhino preferred)
Demonstrated ability to multi-task with agility
Must be a self-starter, flexible and imaginative with an understanding of 3D design
Can take direction, work independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of trends in the beauty, fashion and/or art world
