SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Be an integral part of the FP&A team working closely with the Vice President, Executive Director and Manager of Global Finance & Strategy to support the Global Brand by delivering value added business analysis and decision making support, as well as helping the annual planning and monthly performance management processes.

A successful candidate must be naturally curious, self-motivated and possess strong financial modeling and analytical / attention to detail skills. The position requires working closely with colleagues at all levels and across multiple functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Works within a matrixed structure and partner with the management team, brands, regions, and corporate, to provide value-added insight into the business.

 Provides financial support to other teams within Clinique – International Business Development, Marketing, Education, Business Planning, among others.

 Analyzes financial information and author / delivers presentations to Senior Management.

 Formulates business case to drive consumer recruitment and retention via our promotional strategies (gift with purchase, gift sets, samples) as well as to find opportunities for promotional efficiencies

 Tracks the performance of our global value creation savings and provides recommendations on efficiency opportunities (e.g. selling expense reductions)

 Advertising & Promotional “A&P” ROIs of hero franchises and all other and recommend optimal levels of A&P Spend

 Co-lead project to improve the Campaign P&L tool and provide quarterly reporting partially through the use of the tool

 Partners with the GBFG team to estimate and budget Capital Expenditures

 Partners with cross-functional teams to identify, execute and track COG Savings (e.g. Value Analysis and Excess and Obsolescence)

 Supports process changes for developing product launch business case including P&L projections.

 Assists with key monthly financial analyses for decision making including summary of latest estimate review and discussions with the regions, actual results review vs. budget / latest estimates, risks & opportunities.

 Plays a key role in the annual Budget process and Long Range Planning development; also supports the brand strategy and innovation processes.

 Performs ad hoc business analysis support to the brand and company senior management.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

 Undergraduate degree – BA/BS in accounting, economics, or finance.

 3 years of experience in finance, consulting, investment banking or relevant functions.

 Strong financial skillset. 2 years of financial modeling.

 Demonstrated results in improving processes and developing financial analysis that provides business insight.

 Well organized; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.

 Team player with self-initiative; exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.

 Strong attention to detail.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Business Case/DCF analytical skills; familiarity with SAP financial modules is a plus.
