The Vice President of Issues Management, will support the Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain, in organizing and managing the processes of the Global and Regional Issues Working Groups (IWG) to ensure issues and crises are mitigated in prompt and effective way in order to prevent harm to the Company’s reputation and business. In this role, the Vice President will act as the IWG Coordinator for any issues at the global level and will be a part of the Global Crisis Mgmt Core Team. The individual filling this role should have a calm disposition, ability to handle complex/fast moving issues and discussions, good organizational skills, personal presence and leadership, excellent communication skills, schedule flexibility, ability to handle controversy and strong opinions in a calm objective manner while driving to the facts and a clear decision process.
Develop multidimensional policies and procedures to guide future action in the face of IWG / crisis considering not only global factors but also how to administer locally within the regions.
Maintain working knowledge of functions across the EL Business to speak adeptly on emergency issues impacting all EL functions.
Conducts investigations and managing the investigations process in tandem with the regional Lead where applicable
Strong ability to think strategically to resolve matters effectively and efficiently
Build collaborative relationships with senior management and business leadership, while ,managing shifting priorities
Excellent regulatory and business judgment; a high degree of discretion; strong analytical skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and strong presentation skills
Significant knowledge and experience in implementing training and communications processes and programs; strong project management skills

As Vice President:
Owner of the IWG process and continuously seeking new opportunities for improvement of IWG management
Coordinating and working in tandem with Legal/General Counsel and Corporate Regulatory Affairs as part of the IWG Core Team
Creating and implementing a robust CAPA program to minimize future issues
Developing and implementing training programs for Global and Regional IWG team members
Scheduling and leading routine calls with Regional IWG Core Teams to share and determine best practices
Maintaining the IWG portal and tracking of all IWGs at both a Global and Regional level
Serving as a support to all Regional IWG teams
As Global IWG Coordinator:
Reviewing issues that are escalated by Subject Matter Lead
Gathering initial facts for the issue by using and assigning appropriate IWG intake documentation Understanding the issue at hand and assembly of the appropriate functional units for a particular Issues Working Group
Scheduling and leading the team through the actual Issue Working Group meetings
Assigning actions and ensuring accountability to each member for the IWG by issuing IWG meeting notes in the approved format
Tracking and maintaining Issue Working Group files and ensuring close out of IWGs, including any actions pending post closure of the IWG
Summarizing and reporting on IWG statistics and action plans on a routine basis
