This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of procurement and sourcing strategies for The Estee Lauder Companies’ Global Retail Fixture & Construction categories, inclusive of GC, Architecture, Fixtures, Construction Materials, and Store Ops. This role will have a combined portfolio spend in excess of $300m per year (and a corporate goal to nearly double our global retail footprint within the next 3 years). The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated person with extensive experience executing construction/renovation procurement and supplier strategies within global organizations. Experience working in a luxury or prestige environment preferred.
Leads team of 4 individuals who will focus on the global sourcing strategy and programs in collaboration with the Global and Regional Design & Construction, Indirect Procurement and Project Management teams in NA, APAC, LATAM, UK, and EMEA. Significantly influence the optimization of fixture & construction sourcing ($150 million annually). Work pro actively with stakeholders to improve procurement practices while ensuring delivery of results, and pro actively gaining buy-in to new processes. Drive sourcing and procurement process for all store renovations, and new store construction.
Work collaboratively with Global and Regional Indirect procurement retail fixture, construction, and store ops leads to ensure alignment with global goals and objectives including savings targets, and stakeholder satisfaction targets. Lead resolution of any procurement sourcing issues related to retail fixture & construction strategies. Measure and track internal procurement performance and savings globally within each category for focusing on specific brands.
Evaluate supplier capabilities and identify new suppliers as driven by business and quality requirements. Identify and select best in class suppliers and develop partnerships to develop strong strategies. Partner with Legal to create risk managed contracts. Monitor and manage to performance goals, conduct quarterly business reviews, and maintain compliance status reports. Keep appropriate parties aware of issues, including escalation and remediation.
Work collaboratively with Global Brand Store Design leads to crystallize brand standards, drive increased cross-brand standardization, create a uniform material approval process, and consolidated, e-sharing tool, and updated library.
Partner with key stakeholders to obtain global visibility into project counts, components and costs and to unlock forecasting and planning capability. Analyze consolidated global detailed spend data by brand, by region and by type for leveraged, bulk-buy, or direct purchase opportunities focusing on specific brands. Consistently provide delivered cost details to affiliates and regions allowing for more informed commitments and increased program roll-out success.
Ability to deliver dynamic, value-add presentations to Executive teams, with high-level communication and presentation.
