Position Summary:

  • The Global Immigration Manager will work within our central Global Mobility department and will report to the Director, Global Mobility.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and provide critical support and advice to Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners and employees as well as their families on all US and Global immigration matters. This includes personally attending to all Immigration matters for the CEO and his family.

  • Provide advice and guidance as well as ongoing education to the HR community on entry strategies to the US that are in line with immigration regulations and adhere to corporate policies and procedures pertaining to Panama and U.S. work permits, visa renewals and permanent residency sponsorship for foreign nationals.

  • Assist in the design, development and execution of the immigration service delivery model and all applicable corporate policies and procedures around immigration.

  • Create, implement and execute standardized processes where this position serves as central coordination for obtaining all Panama and US non-immigrant applications as well as US Immigrant applications (Green Cards) and supporting documents required for submission to outside counsel for preparation of initial work permits and extensions.

  • Maintain centralized immigration files and internal reports to ensure all records are kept up to date and the HR community is aware of their non-immigrant population and what is necessary to maintain their compliant immigration status.

  • Communicate with employees and other relevant contacts regarding the status of visa cases.

  • Stay abreast of global immigration changes and cascade relevant information as appropriate

  • Receive, review for accuracy, and reconcile invoices from outside counsel

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree & minimum of 3-4 years experience managing immigration processes for non-immigrant visas and green cards.

  • Strong, in-depth knowledge of US immigration law

  • Must be highly organized and possess a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Collaborative professional with great relationship building and communication skills.

  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of people, including Human Resources, Legal, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners and employees as well as their families.
