Consumer Engagement Manager La Mer - EMEA (H/F)

This position is expected to allow the La Mer team to engage their consumers in a more integrated and holistic way, leveraging the strengths of our traditional offline platforms and building our new competitive edge in the social/digital context. As such, this position will ensure that

  • we intimately understand the omni-channel preferences and activities of our consumers

  • we flawlessly build consumer campaigns, offers and events that are consistent with these preferences

The consumer engagement manager reports to the EMEA Consumer Marketing Director.

Insights and Commercial Development

  • Develops a thorough omni-channel understanding of regional consumer behaviors and preferences

  • In line with this, develops the Brand’s overall digital/social media strategy

  • Develops specific recommendations on how to grow the Brand’s “always on my mind” awareness, as well as commercial activities that can monetize these encounters with the Brand and ultimately drive sales, share and profits

  • Develops specific programs and campaigns for the Brand, highlights key areas where the Brand needs strategic and/or operational support from Affiliate or Regional stakeholders

  • Works smoothly with Affiliate and Regional stakeholders to flawlessly executive the Brand programs

Social and Digital Marketing

  • In line with these insights, develops the Brand’s social/digital strategy

  • Manages the Brand’s social/digital presence

  • Define influencers and advocates strategy

  • Collaborates with local PR to provide continuous content to maximize influencers reach to the appropriate fan/social circle base

  • Highlights technical and analytical requirements of flawless campaign execution; ensures they are in place for roll-out by working with Regional Corporate Social Media Director on strategic issues and Regional Corporate Digital Analytics Manager concerning analytics and KPI measurements

  • Collaborates with E-com to provide input for and validate the brand’s E-com / e-retailer strategy, calendar

  • In collaboration with Consumer Marketing Director, validates overall paid media budget allocation by business line (Brand – Online) and platform (search, programmatic, influencers, etc.)

  • Ensures local relevance, sharing regional insights with Global team and embed best practices

  • Tracks metrics and KPIs to set targets and monitors campaign performance

  • Responsible for developing tactics to improve upon KPIs

Agency Managements

  • Defines the role agencies should play in our go-to-market strategy

  • Owns the regional media brief

  • Manages digital agency relationships as well as campaign budgets and schedules and overall expected results

Consumer Focus

  • Ensures that Consumer is at the heart of product/channel innovation and initiatives

  • Ensure information on consumer-affected issues is communicated to the appropriate departments such as quality issues, risk management and recurrent complaints


  • Works closely with affiliates to develop and execute campaigns across all channels that are specially focused on retention, cross-sell, up-sell, lead generation…

  • In close collaboration with Regional corporate CRM team, works on the consumer database segmentation to improve customer lifecycle value

  • Evaluates campaigns against target KPIs and shares learnings with affiliates, Global and regional CRM teams


  • Ideal candidate will combine strategic & operational expertise in social/digital marketing, media, influencers and CRM/loyalty program execution.

  • Ideally 5-6 years’ experience in digital/ UX/ POE communication strategies

  • Additional experience in the following areas counts as a big plus

  • Luxury industry

  • Beauty industry

  • E-commerce

  • Understanding of web technologies involved in digital and social platforms

  • This is an operational and entrepreneurial role, which requires someone with a hands-on approach to business and strong perseverance, analytical skills, and strong communications and interpersonal skills
