Context: Indirect Procurement for Advertising and Promotion category in ELC EMEA is a wide scope which includes different commodities such as Media, Marketing Services, Print, Creative & Production, Market Survey, Premiums which involves multiple Stakeholders (Corporate Marketing, E-commerce, Brands) in 17 affiliates and 39 markets. It requires strong Mindset skills and Procurement expertise to deliver the best value and higher ROI on A&P spend, driving innovation and enabling business growth on a more Digital and Agile landscape.
This role will lead and support the Category Director to build the strategy for the commodities of Marketing Services & Technology (SAAS), Market Survey and PR. This role will also bring support to Category Director on the Media (Traditional & Digital incl. Social and Influencers) scope on specific activities (supplier assessment, productivity tracking, spend analysis…). The role might expand to further A&P categories within time and business priorities.
Responsibilities for the role:
Accountability contributing to the pipeline of sourcing initiatives and opportunities and delivering those opportunities once aligned on approach with the Category Director.
Support the delivery of yearly 3-5% cost reduction in the category and supplier base reduction
Support and implement the category development of regional category strategies and expand spend under IP management for each of the sub-categories in scope.
Deliver supply and supplier solutions which support the business needs.
Manage supplier relationships. For key relationships this includes conducting regular business reviews and supplier assessment within your Stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder relationships (Brands, Corporate Marketing, E-Commerce, Global and Local IP community)
Develop expertise in the categories in scope, leveraging external sources.
Propose / support the development and implementation of procurement standards, processes, tools and policies
Addressable Category spend is c. Euro 70-90 million across EMEA.
60% Sourcing & Procurement Planning
Support the IP A&P Director in the development of category strategic thinking and supplier development/integration in EMEA.
Drive A&P opportunities across EMEA at Regional and affiliate levels but also link with counterparts in other Regions and Global to share and benefit from best practice learning.
Drive tactical sourcing activities in order to achieve year-on-year improvements in total cost of ownership, quality, and service by executing and continually streamlining purchasing activities across company operations
Build playbooks with the input from Stakeholders to share amongst local IP team to increase knowledge, best practices, sourcing strategies, commodities specificities, benchmarks
Drive key suppliers relationship management (QBRs, supplier assessment with stakeholders)
Drive detailed analyze spend for each sub-categories
Ensure strong contracts are implemented with suppliers and uploaded in the system. Manage contract termination, expiration, negotiation for extension, addendums…
25% Stakeholder Engagement
Proactively reach out to affiliate, regional and global stakeholders’ to understand business requirements and priorities
Develop the sourcing strategies with Regional and Affiliate Brands, Function and IP to ensure the alignment of corporate and business strategies and priorities
Identify and drive the savings opportunities with key stakeholders in the sourcing of responsible A&P categories
Partner with Global Indirect Procurement, where applicable, to identify opportunities to leverage regional and global suppliers and contract deals
15% Process and cross-functional projects (nonrestrictive)
Introduce and\or contribute to cross-functional projects (at Global, regional and affiliate levels).
Introduce and\or participate in the continuous improvement of our processes and procurement performances.
Assure the follow-up of internal dashboards (KPI, savings,…) as requested by the hierarchy and report the activity with all the blocking points and risk to come.
Strategic thinking. This role supports the IP Advertising & Promotion Director in developing and executing the regional category strategies for Marketing Services and Technology (SAAS), Market Survey, PR and Media in EMEA
Analyze category spend and it drivers through internal profiling, economic factors and costs. Setting and measuring KPIs and establish meetings with stakeholders to keep improving results with suppliers

Procurement skills are a requirement for this role, such as: Negotiation, Competitive Bidding, Contractual Agreements and Supplier Relationship Management
Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills. This role will lead initiatives at Regional level and interact with Global and Local Indirect Procurement teams to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, leverage synergies, drive innovation and effectiveness.
Education Level BAC 5, with a previous experience in Procurement (of at least 8 years and preferably in connection with Print and Creative/Production).
CPM/CIPS Professional Membership is preferred (Certified Purchasing Manager/ Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply)
Good Excel skills, PowerPoint and SAP/ARIBA sourcing and contracts
Fluent in French and English
