In order to optimize retail operations in store, ELC has launched a global program (ROS : Retails Operations Solutions) to lead the implementation of new technologies in stores, encompassing applications such as a POS, Traffic Counting, WorkForce Management… As part of the ROS team, the Functional lead will conduct the interactions between Business and IT stakeholders.

ROS Functional lead is primarily the main partner of business key stakeholders supporting business requirements management (from identification to final approval by business stakeholder) for the purpose of deploying and upgrading our set of solutions aiming at improving our retail operations. Functional lead will be actively interacting and supporting communication related to active retail solutions projects with business community and technical teams, translating business requirements into processes and systems design, and identify acceptable business workaround solutions when necessary.

As part of the ROS team, the ROS Functional Lead will be a key player to ensure that the new technologies implemented meet business requirements. This role consists in being the main partner of business stakeholders supporting business requirements management (from identification to final approval) for the purpose of deploying and upgrading our portfolio of solutions.

The Functional Lead will be actively interacting and supporting communication related to active retail solutions projects with business community and technical teams, translating business requirements into functional specifications, identifying impacts on processes and systems design as well as acceptable business workaround solutions when necessary.

Business Functional – 60%

  • Possesses an in-depth working knowledge of business processes impacted by the retail applications

  • Acquires functional expertise on the ELC Retail operations Solutions

  • Partners with key Business Stakeholders to identify and document system requirements, functions, design and processes for the purposes of deploying new (regional and global) systems and upgrading existing ones

  • Manages business stakeholder approval for all retail functional designs and modifications

  • Develops and supports the creation of business related materials such as solution documents, business and functional requirements, business process documents and workflows

  • Supports cross-functional team communication related to active retail system projects between the business community and technical teams in a manner that effectively targets each audience in order to translate business requirements into process and system design including internal customer/end users, brand leads, vendors, corporate support partners and GIS

  • Works with the business to understand and capture business requirements, as it relates to POS (Point of Sale), including Payments, Traffic Counting, Workforce Management as well as on how these solutions interact with omnichannel consumer experience initiatives.

Business Analysis, Testing and Training – 30%

  • Analyzes new & existing retail technologies to optimize system operations maximizing business results

  • Identifies areas of process improvement, considers all options related to retail system solutions, develops and presents recommendations

  • Partners with business and technical teams to develop security matrix, associate role permissions and leads approval process

  • Participates in functional testing

  • Supports test script development

  • Supports User Acceptance Testing phase

  • Supports all end-user Training and change management activities with the business community as needed

Support – 10%

  • Facilitates project needs by coordinating meetings, communications and engagements with appropriate project team members

  • Carries out other project-related tasks such as requirements gathering, obtaining signoffs from sponsors, maintaining issue/request lists, etc.

  • Interacts with Help Desk team in the framework of issues escalation

Qualifications

Must have retail experience related to retail solutions implementations in an international context, used to evolve in multi-cultural projects and with exceptional functional lead and time management abilities

  • Ability to liaison between the business and technical communities bridging the gap, gaining their mutual trust and driving discussions toward a collaborative solution.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills and the ability to work with many different disciplines at all levels are required

  • Actively asks open/probing of project partners. Supports the ability to approach problems & get the answers where Leadership needs to make decisions.

  • Must be able to work independently and as a project team member, taking initiative to address challenges and act on opportunities

  • Approx. 10 years work experience with prior experience in an analytical role such as functional consultant, Functional lead or Business analyst, preferably in a cosmetics company.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint & MS-365.

  • Strong organization, planning, communication, project management and presentation skills required

  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends is preferred

  • Knowledge of Oracle Retail Suite (X-Store, Relate) solution is preferred
