Position Purpose:

Description of Duties:

Sales Management and Experience Center Profitability

  • Achieve District Sales Plan

  • Achieve District AUS (Average Unit Sale) goal

  • Achieve Service Excellence district goals

  • Achieve retention goals


  • Ensure all advisors complete Aveda Advisor Orientation Training

  • Implement and maintain an education database for every Aveda Advisor

  • Ensure all New Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders have attended “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” and that these programs are reinforced in each Experience Center

  • Ensure all Advisors attend update training 2 times per year

Human Resources

  • Manage and resolve all employee relation challenges, involving Human Resources as necessary

  • Interview all potential Aveda Advisor candidates with the Team Leaders

  • Conduct exit interviews with all Advisors who have left locations in the district

  • Conduct thorough and timely performance management reviews and discussions


  • Policy and Procedure - ensure all Aveda policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to in district Experience Centers; follow up and document failures of compliance; identify all Advisors who should attend Retail Store Academy or other operational training offered by Retail Store Development; identify Training Team Leader to be responsible for new Team Leader orientation within the district

  • Budgets – ensure all ECs are familiar with their annual budgets. Responsible for ensuring all Experience Centers meet their budgeted sales and expense targets.

  • Expense Reports – review and submit all expense reports from EC personnel

  • Inventory - execute twice yearly inventory

  • Repair & Maintenance – review and submit all Repair & Maintenance Requests for district’s Experience Center (with exception of emergency situations)

  • Bonuses – review and submit all bonus summaries for ECs in the district

  • Other duties as assigned



Bachelors degree preferred


5 years retail management experience with a minimum of 2 years of multi store management or supervisory role in service related industry; must have a proven track record of working with a team to produce results

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization

  • Leadership and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a team with an entrepreneurial attitude

  • Desire to function in a fast paced, ever changing environment

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Ability and willingness to travel (via airplane)

  • Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to recruit and interview
