Principal Objectives:

Work closely with Regional Education Manager in understanding strategic focus and growth objective to develop road-maps to ensure quality performance of TF Specialists and DA Beauty Advisors in China and Greater China Travel Retailing Division through effective training strategies that will educate and motivate Specialists, Beauty Advisors and Floor Sales Personnel in the field to uphold the highest luxury experience in-store, demonstrate and sell TF/DP products and proudly represent the brands in TRD. Ensure alignment with education team in Regional; build strong relationship and leverage on affiliate regional education/ affiliate education team to customize training programs and tools to suit the needs of the TR APAC environment. Be an advocate for the brands in our cluster in the digital space and act as a key ambassador in motivating, creating enthusiasm and inspiring loyalty and commitment to Tom Ford Beauty and Darphin.


Ensures Customer and Market Growth:

  • Understands the business priorities and its implication on the field selling approach. Works closely with sales team and Area Sales Managers across multiple functions to develop training strategies to effectively meet customer needs and sales objectives for Travel Retail China and Greater China for TF/DP.

  • Support Area Sales Managers in interviewing and hiring the best people for the brands.

  • Work in stores with Specialists and Beauty Advisors to demonstrate product knowledge and impart luxury experience on regular basis. Conduct on-counter coaching where permitted.

  • Localize training and inject creativities to programs to ensure that selling techniques are tailored for travel retail environment at all touchpoints.

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing team in order to provide pre-event, as well as on-site support for special events. Work in tandem with Sales team to maximize event impact.Manages Operational Effectiveness:

  • Schedules, conducts, develops and manages the delivery of all Basic and Seasonal seminars, coaching and workshops and holds Specialists, Beauty Advisors and Promoters accountable to brand standards.

  • Presents training strategies to Regional Education Manager including the management of and adherence to the budget process for all collateral such as gifts, samples and equipment.

  • Conducts regular market visits and manages effective and continuous communication with the team at all travel retail locations to identify needs and develop effective solutions while maintaining comprehensive information systems on all Education materials relating to the role.

  • Coordinate uniforms twice a year for the respective regions’ field team.

  • Ensure that counter standards (in terms of housekeeping and VM maintenance) is adhered to.Improves Business Processes:

  • Maintains and manages a strategic and analytical approach consistently assimilating critical information and creatively inspiring ideas and recommending solutions to improve, innovate and deliver superior training outcomes and competitive advantage.

  • Negotiates rates and prices for services and materials to obtain the best quality and value for the brands.

  • In collaboration with the APAC Regional Education Team and relevant local Affiliates, develops, adapts and customizes presentations and education materials for the different audiences of the whole region to ensure regional relevancy.

  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with retailers in order to smoothen processes of arranging seminar schedules.Leads and Develops People:

  • Ensures the availability of effective education materials that incorporate cultural variances are provided timely in all seminars.

  • Motivates, inspires and develops Field Trainers, Education Executives, Specialists, Beauty Advisors, and serves as role model in image and professionalism.

  • Skillfully communicates, effectively leads, selectively hires and strategically inspires vision across multiple functions and regions; building a reputation for integrity, honorable practices and committed behavior.

  • Elevate makeup artistry and luxury services through coaching/feedback. Conduct Specialists’ and Beauty Advisors’ Accreditation Program and Certification program following guidelines issued by Regional Education team.


Completed University level education or equivalent is desirable.

Strong in presentation skills, possesses high energy and the ability to motivate self and others.

Good written and spoken English and Chinese language fluency

Above 5 years of relevant training or training-related experience, preferably in cosmetics / fragrance / luxury Retail business, including managerial experience over 3 years

Established track record in training, business management and people leadership

Possess extensive knowledge of skincare and good makeup artistry skills. Prior experience in fragrance industry is a plus.

Excellent team player with strong leadership skills.

Authorized to work in China and Greater China, or ability to qualify for authorization to work in China and Greater China

Flexibility to travel (50-80%)
