Principle Objective:

To achieve and/or exceed sales plan by creating and maintaining successful Tom Ford Beauty, By Kilian and Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle Specialist teams. Create strategic partnerships with retail partners to grow the brands. Responsibilities include selection, development and retention of Sales & Education Coordinators and counter staff, administration of point of sale initiatives, and management of the account at a store level.

Accountabilities:

1) Lead and Execute Tom Ford Beauty, By Kilian and Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle Initiatives

  • Work with Brand Manager to plan and achieve retail sales goals by door.

  • Communicate and cascade goals, objectives, and priorities to sales & education coordinators, counter/business managers and specialists on a weekly basis.

  • Create store-specific action plans to achieve counter goals and objectives. Collaborate with sales and education coordinators to ensure execution of those plans.

  • Plan and execute new product launches and special events.

  • Execute visual merchandising point of sale guidelines.

  • Manage the counter’s inventory through communication with the manager, sales operations. Accountability for managing rtv’s and destroyed in field merchandise at each counter.

2) Build Tom Ford Beauty, By Kilian, Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle Teams through Selection and Retention of Staff

  • Oversee and develop direct reports (Sales and Education Coordinators).

  • Coach and develop the team to maximize sales results through focus on specialist productivity. Hold specialist team accountable to image and service experience expectations. Continually engage teams in each brand’s philosophy on fragrances and cosmetics.

  • Conduct face-to-face interview with specialist and counter/business manager candidates, as well as freelancer candidates.

  • Collaborate with store management (store manager, department manager) on the selection of highly talented specialists and counter/business managers, utilizing information from the interviews.

  • Actively recruit potential candidates for specialist, counter/business manager, and freelancer positions.

  • Educate specialist team and intersell associates on new product launches during department wide trainings.

  • Execute Global Education strategies, managing accreditation achievement for selling specialists.

  • Build and lead seasonal and basic education seminars, as well as counter manager meetings across all brands and retailers.

3) Develop Store Level Relationships

  • Build in-store relationships with all levels of management and selling teams.

  • Present new launches and strategies including events during seasonal summits with each store leadership team.

  • Secure support needed from store management to execute marketing programs and point of sale objectives.

  • Partner with account’s regional beauty directors on seasonal planning and door specific action plans.

  • Identify store management needs to Tom Ford Beauty, By Kilian and Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle management team.

  • Be the Brand Ambassador during client facing events through public speaking/presentation opportunities as required.

4) Manage Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative responsibilities timely and accountably.

  • Manage T&E responsibly. Report all appropriate expenditures on time following mandatory corporate policy and procedures.

  • Manage freelance budget within the guidelines.

  • Maintain e-demo information/demonstration approval on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

  • College/University degree required.

  • Solid analytical and retail math skills.

  • Excellent excel skills with spreadsheet capability.

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills – ability to create presentations in MS office.

  • Ability to lead a team and manage others.

  • Proactive planning—ability to anticipate and solve problems.

  • Strong detail-orientation.

  • Strong negotiating and communication.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize.
