Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

1) Maximize

the Brand’s retail sales for the region and ensure the highest Brand standards

at each counter (70%):

  • Good management of stock

inventory and visual merchandising -20%

  • Efficient management of

daily counter operations -15%

  • Coordinate and execute all

promotions, launches and special events, monitor progress and analyze final

results with ASM -15%

  • Ensure Consultants portray

the highest standards of Clinique image at all times – 15%

  • Be an example to Generic

Staff and Retailers for Clinique, participate actively in Retailer discussions

– 5%

2)

Develop and supervise the Sales force (30%):

  • Inspire, grow and motivate

Consultants to achieve individual and team sales target, through counter

coaching, modeling selling skills and strengthening product knowledge -10%

  • Plan, implement and monitor

incentive programs for Consultants and generic staff where necessary -10%

  • Hire, orientate and ensure

new Consultants are able to perform basic expectations of the job - 5%

  • Generic staff training -5%

RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Sales (up to

50%)

  • Review sales targets and performance of each

door and then focus on top doors on a monthly basis with Area

Sales Manager (ASM)

  • Analyze performance

of business vs. sales objectives, shop trend and competition

  • Generate sales

reports

  • Ensure brand and counter image as well as

visual merchandising are in line with brand standards and philosophy

  • Coordinate and execute

the setup of all promotions and all in-store programs and activities

  • Monitor and identify marketing potential for

new and existing products

  • Provide feedback on

marketing opportunities, store and competitor activities and identify

marketing

potential for new and existing products

  • Provide input for

product ordering, product mix and assortment

  • Resolve stock issues

and coordinate with retailers and warehouse to solve problems

  • Raise no-charge

product orders

  • Ensure

Consultants are aware of the marketing and promotional calendar, marketing, VM

and

sales support available

each month

  • Monthly meetings for

top doors

  • Give direction and

specific instructions to Consultants on how to do their jobs to achieve their

sales goals (can be individually addressed depending on each Consultants’

strengths and weaknesses)

  • Assist ASM in the

recruitment of Consultants and ensure sufficient staffing coverage for the

counters

  • Place orders for

uniforms of Consultants, as well as handle staff purchase orders

  • Ensure Consultants

abide by Clinique’s Clean and Simple Grooming Guidelines

  • Evaluate the

performance of Consultants monthly through Clinique’s TR key performance

indicator (KPI) and to work closely with the Education Managers to develop and

take the necessary action steps to improve performance

  • Develop strong

working relationships with key store personnel and generic staff to ensure

Clinique is on their list of priorities

2) Counter Coaching

(10% minimum)

  • Conduct Consultants /

generic staff of C doors

3)

Orientation / Classroom training (10%minimum)

  • Conduct on-counter or

off-site orientation and elementary product training for new Consultants in C

(or B) doors (before the formal training is organized by the Education

Managers)

  • Coordinate with Affiliate or

Education Manager for IAC training of new hires

  • Conduct generic staff

training in C (or B) doors

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business

Administration with a minimum of 3 years’ working experience or a

general degree with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience,

preferably in the travel retail industry

  • Well-groomed

  • Good organization and

communication skills

  • Good presentation skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and

Excel

  • Willingness to travel

  • Proven sales track record

  • Bilingual in Mandarin and

English (2nd language is an asset)
