Exciting opportunity for an experienced HRBP to partner with the business and work closely with our Retail / Corporate HR team based in our London Offices, supporting across all brands, to accelerate the delivery of strategic projects and priorities within the UK & Ireland.
You will be integral in driving a culture of “retail first”, providing a connection between stores and our Head Office Function, working across multi-functional, multi branded projects.
You will play a critical role in delivering the people agenda, developing and up skilling Retail Managers, at all levels across the organisation in retail and commercial acumen as well as in people management and best practice.
Supporting and implementing key HR/Business projects alongside the Retail HR Team.
Process mapping current HR/business processes to determine key improvements, efficiencies and business benefits.
Undertake talent assessments within retail teams to determine skills gaps and devise solutions to address the gap.
Support the roll out and implementation of the Workforce Management system across all brands, providing relevant, commercial HR advice where necessary.
Working with the Retail HR team and Retail Field management teams to devise and deliver HR workshops to up skill your Store Management teams
Supporting recruitment and selection events and/or activities to ensure the quality of hires are building our teams in terms of sales and commercial capabilities.
Coaching and developing Retail Managers/Area Managers within all aspects of people management to drive performance and behaviour to increase return on investment to the region.
Provide tangible, credible advice to field management and colleagues within the region ensuring the cascade of best practice and compliance with Company processes
Where necessary support ER cases in line with best practice and Company policy, utilise as a coaching and development opportunity.
“Hands-on” with credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving commercial environment.
Must have regional field experience.
Experience of working within an HR field retail team in a remote / multi-site role.
Proven track record of building and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders and people managers.
Strong technical Employment Relations grounding, which may encompass experience of the following areas: disciplinary action around capability and conduct, grievances, appeals, absence and performance management.
Inquisitive mind, strong communication skills and be passionate about understanding, and providing solutions, to your regional retail team.
Highly motivated, energetic, determined, passionate about HR and keen to make your mark within your region.
Inquisitive, curious, hungry to develop, able to develop quickly into a new field based role where you will offer strong, clear, pragmatic advice and guidance.
Commercially aware, analytical and thoughtful, you understand how HR can influence the business.
Assertive, able to influence, unafraid to challenge and able to do so appropriately. You’ll be honest, professional, principled, responsible, empathetic, willing to take accountability for all people matters within your region You’ll have experience of working within an HR field retail team
Proven track record of building and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders and people managers
Sound knowledge, understanding and practical application of employment law and HR practices in the UK and Ireland. Preferably CIPD qualified, you will have a confident & creative approach to HR and will thrive on the challenge of providing pragmatic HR advice, guidance and coaching to a variety of stakeholders.
Aptitude to work autonomously is essential, alongside the resilience to deliver under pressure with pace in a changing environment.
Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills to build credible relationships with your customers.
The ability to train, develop and coach others in HR best practice.
Highly resilient with the ability to work in a changing environment.
Highly attentive to detail with strong organisational and planning skills.
Creative and extremely literate, able to produce a high standard of written work including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word along with the ability to quickly learn new operating systems
Ability to drive your own development through awareness of employment legislation changes and ensure up to date legal compliance in all HR activities are cascaded throughout the region
Flexibility to travel and some overnight stays as required.
