Position Title: La Mer Trainer, TR Korea

Division / Department: Education

Reports to: Education Manager

This position will be responsible to help train and develop the

La Mer Experts to consistently deliver exceptional customer service, represent the image, products and culture of the La Mer Brands to the customer. The incumbent needs to have an understanding of the retail selling environment and help Brands field staff achieve brand objectives by providing motivation, advice and assistance through education.


  • Conduct basic training, seasonal training for all La Mer Experts.

  • Conduct on-going coaching sessions at counter in order to reinforce classroom teaching and to assist in observing and adapting trainings to meet evolving consumer needs.

  • Assisting, as required with events, seasonal training and/or education conference, including set up, presentations and breakdowns.

  • Discuss education objectives with Account Coordinator/Area Sales Manager to identify training needs. Work closely with Education Manager to ensure that all objectives are in keeping with brand education strategy and guidelines.

  • Localize education programs to ensure that selling techniques and service ritual are adapted to travel retail environment and to the needs of the Chinese consumer.

  • Conduct brand and seasonal training for generic staffs, twice a year upon approval from retailers. This can be more frequent if need be.

  • Assist in providing information resource and feedback to the team in terms of the building of the knowledge content on the Chinese Travelling Consumer (CTC).

  • Administratively:

  • Ensure adequate supply of uniforms for all Brands Field Staff

  • Ensure Brands Field Staff adhere to brand’s image - maintaining the standard of grooming and hygiene.

  • Prepare and adhere to the training expense budget.

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of open and positive communication at all times.



  • Experienced trainer, preferably within the cosmetics industry

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral – English is a must and Mandarin preferred.

  • University graduates are preferred.

  • Willingness to travel and able to work long hours when necessary.

  • Understanding of effective sales techniques and customer service

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and coach people

  • Diplomacy and patience

  • Team player and willingness to learn

  • Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
