As an Area Retail Trainer for MAC you drive Brand Sales through excellence in execution of Art and Commerce Education Fundamentals.

You supports the MAC Vision and drive sales through the development, knowledge and skills of our Retail field Leaders and Retail Artists, across multiple channels through in-store education, classroom-based education and video learning. This involves elevating the customer service, artistry, product knowledge skills, social media and sales skills of Retail Managers and Retail Artists by facilitating all Art and Commerce Education Fundamentals

Your tasks include;

  • ClassroomEducation - Facilitate All Education trainings

  • Developmentof field teams - feed the commercial, artistry, product knowledgeand customer service skills of the field teams

  • In-StoreSupport - Follow up in focus doors on Education Fundamentalsthrough the Sales and Education field leaders to ensure traininginitiatives are effectively translated into behaviours that supportexcellence in service, artistry and product knowledge.

  • VideoLearning Content Create locally relevant artistry, service and productknowledge-focused tutorial videos for e-learning site in collaborationwith the Make Up Artistry/PR and Consumer marketing teams

  • Playactive role in refining and evolving the Education and business strategy

  • Feedthe field leaders with tools needed to effectively empower the RetailManagers to drive their teams and business to success

  • Supportingthe interviewing and selection of MAC Artists in collaboration withfield leaders where necessary

  • Supportingsuccession planning programs for MAC Managers and Artists byrecommending and creating development opportunities

  • Assistingin the implementation of measures to reduce and minimize staff turnoverincluding coaching and developing others, providing clear feedback andoffering ways to effectively and efficiently improve.

  • Adhereto and provide the example for MAC policies regarding customer serviceexpectations, dress code and MAC’s professional standards.

  • Specialist education in Makeup Artistry or Equivalent experience from the makeup industry. Higher education preferred.

  • Proven exceptional ability in makeup application and customer service skills

  • Strong communication skill including public speaking, facilitation and content creation.

  • Strong ability to analyse retail environment needs and provide actionable training solution.

  • Must be versatile and have the ability to adapt approach to all levels of the business from top management to retail artists

  • Organizational skills including planning of larger events, budgets and retail KPI analyses.

  • Develop Talent and Capabilities - Identifies and cultivates essential skills and attributes to maximize individual contribution and engagement.

  • Strives for Excellence in Execution - Proactively seeks ways to improve personal and organizational effectiveness to meet current and future business needs. Learns equally from successes and failures.
