The role of the Indirect Procurement Senior Executive is to support sourcing activities in the Store Construction and Visual Merchandising procurement categories for the Asia-Pacific Region. This includes managing sourcing activities focused on fixtures and displayers associated with the Specialty-Multi Channel (SMC), Free Standing Stores (FSS), Department Stores and pop-up counters.
The Senior Executive will manage sourcing activities including, but not limited to, identification of business needs, definition of sourcing strategies, development of bid documentation and preparation and execution of bidding and benchmarking and management of the vendor base. In addition, the Senior Executive will support other procurement categories in support of Capex and Opex savings targets, as needed.
The Senior Executive will collaborate with the Asia-Pacific Design Centre (APDC) teams and required brand teams to execute the relevant sourcing activities associated with these spend areas. Collaboration also includes local Indirect Procurement teams and other Affiliate teams involved in project execution and project close out activities.
Gather, analyze and prepare sourcing documentation: category baseline, supplier profiles, spend profiles, bidding requirements and specifications, bidding documents, supplier communications, bid response analyses.
Support all supplier and source-of-supply management activities for SMC/FSS/DS and other Visual Merchandising programs to secure an optimized, consistent, reliable and capable vendor base for these categories, while maintaining assured supply at high quality and service level standards.
Develop assessments of current and future needs, analyses of spend categorization, and potential suppliers
Provide supplier and market intelligence and guidance to the local Indirect Procurement teams.
Support the Regional Indirect Procurement category teams in sourcing activities related to Capex and Opex savings initiatives.
Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering or relevant area of studies.
Procurement or design certifications, a plus.
Strategic sourcing experience – 5 years minimum category sourcing management experience.
Ability to conduct mathematical analyses of data.
Experience in commercial and contractual terms.
Ability to work in a stressful commercial environment to tight schedules.
Ability to handle uncertainty, fragmented data.
Delivery focus with project management skills.
CPM/CIPS Professional Membership or and related certification is preferred (Certified Purchasing Manager/ Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
Expertise in SAP / Ariba, a plus.
Proficient communication skills in English and Mandarin (Putonghua) in both written and spoken forms. Cantonese is a plus.
Availability to travel (approx. 5%)
