Principle Objective - Responsible for:

(1) Maintaining a strong internal control environment, monitoring accounting activities and ensuring financial compliance and integrity of the financial information for the NA region (U.S. and Canada);

(2) Oversee the NA Capital Planning process and team;

(3) Ensure OneSource (Genpact and internal shared service centers) are achieving their SLA Accuracy and Timeliness commitments and execute testing requirements in order to comply with SOX controls and ELC policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Ensure NA Region accounting compliance and reporting in accordance to GAAP.

2.Liaise between Region FP&A teams and technical accounting to ensure updates to financial reporting are accurate and complete for business analytics; ensure adoption by all brands and functions in the region.

3.Possess working knowledge of technical accounting (i.e. revenue recognition) and know-how in applying the rules to the current business. Assist in researching and resolving all GAAP and technical accounting issues and lead process change.

4.Lead the SOX 302 and 404 processes. Develop and maintain standard process flow and supporting documentation for all NA brands and regional functions; follow-up on audit findings.

5.Develop and maintain a NA Regional internal process library of financial policy and procedures, with onboarding plan for new finance personnel.

6.Lead the brands and regional functions in understanding and adhering to global policies and alignment with local policies.

7.Manage the third party accounting services. Establish and administer SLA procedures to ensure compliance.

8.Responsible for understanding the financial reporting and general ledger structure. Enhance and improve the lowest level coding structure to deliver value added and meaningful reporting.

9.Oversee the different financial systems and identify and implement ways to promote efficiency within the company’s financial reporting process.

10.Lead process change to ensure compliance region wide across all brands and functions.

11.Lead the NA Capital Planning team.



  • Undergraduate degree in finance / Accounting

  • 8 years plus of relevant experience

  • Experience in a fast moving consumer products industry

  • Excellent analytical skills required and strong Excel/database skills necessary.

  • Ability to collaborate and drive cross-functional consensus and strong communication and presentation skills necessary.

  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Working knowledge of SAP, CPM, BEX, Excel, power point.
