This position is responsible for the highest level work on the team and provides the most Senior management and the Executive team with forecasts, presentations, reports, and analysis related to the financial results of the business including, but not limited to the Monthly Forecast Estimate, Annual Financial Plan, Long Range Financial Plan, Guidance Estimates, Quarterly Earnings, Acquisition Reporting, Quarterly Competitive Analysis, and Corporate Strategy. This is a highly visible role, reporting to an Executive Director where the deliverable must be accurate, complete, and presentable, and may be delivered to the most senior levels within the financial organization, while also providing direction to the Financial Analysts. This position requires interaction with senior level executives, including all Brand Finance Leaders, along with VPs of Finance, Controllers, Assistant Controllers, VP Strategy, VP Investor Relations, etc., with the following responsibilities:
Supervision of the compilation, review, and validation of the monthly forecast for particular dimensions of the business.
Creation and accuracy of narrative insights into the business including margin impact of shifts of business mix, foreign currency fluctuation, acquisitions, brand, regions, segment, and channel trends, balance sheet metrics, etc. This includes compiling and publishing related Metrics and KPIs to provide transparency, insights and consistent sales, profit, and capital reporting to Senior Management to drive effective and efficient allocation of the company’s investments.
Preparation of the highest level of analysis, including ad hoc requests from the CFO, requiring in-depth knowledge of the business and all related macro issues including market issues, foreign exchange impacts, inflation, competition, etc.
Contributions to the preparation of monthly presentations for the CFO to be delivered to various stakeholders in the company, including a current “state of the business” and focusing on action items directed to the ELT members, along with trends, analysis, and insights.
Accountability for the accuracy of periodic forecasts prepared by the Corporate FP&A team and other members for the global finance organization. Review the monthly forecast estimate, which represents the annual financial outlook of brands, regions, affiliates, functions, segments, and channels, including summary analytical commentary.
Prepare and review multiple and various high level/complex ad hoc analysis as requested, analyzing a particular capital or expense investments and/or business segment performance. This includes currency exchange impacts, business shifts, trends, various margin analysis, etc. and requires knowledge of internal systems for data retrieval along with external global, market and environmental issues and trends.
Analyze the impact of acquisitions on the business model, and report to numerous internal teams on the same, including Investor Relations for presentation in the quarterly earnings call.
Review and prepare charts, graphs, slides and analysis for monthly presentations to the Executive Team. This focus is not only analyzing and reporting on the business, but also talks to action items needed to affect change.
Prepare the monthly CFO presentations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
Prepare the quarterly CFO presentations to the SDG.
Prepare the quarterly CFO presentation to the Board of Directors.
Partner with the Corporate Strategy team to prepare the Annual corporate strategy presentation to the Board of Directors.
Prepare the annual CFO presentation to the Board of Directors for approval of the Annual Plan.
Support various Executive Directors and Vice Presidents in the Department.
Lead/mentor/guide the Senior Financial Analysts on the team.

Minimum Education level: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum Years of Experience: 8

Required Language Proficiency: English
Licenses or Certifications: MBA or CPA a plus

While based in Melville, this position require occasional travel to the NYC based company operations for meetings as necessary.
